Clinical Observation Of Tiaowei Shengjiang Decoction In The Treatment Of Functional Constipation (spleen Deficiency And Qi Stagnation Syndrome)

Objective: In order to observe the clinical efficacy of Tiaowei Shengjiang Decoction in the treatment of functional constipation of spleen deficiency and qi stagnation.Methods: Sixty-eight patients who met the inclusion criteria in the Department of Spleen and Gastroenterology of Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from December 2018 to January 2020 were included in this trial.They were rationally divided into 34 cases in the Chinese medicine group,34 cases in the western medicine group,and oral administration in the Chinese medicine group Tiaowei Shengjiang Decoction and oral lactulose oral solution in the western medicine group were compared to compare the differences between the two methods in improving the clinical symptoms of constipation,long-term efficacy,and quality of life.At the beginning of treatment,at 2 weeks,at 4 weeks,and at 4 weeks after discontinuation,the points of the TCM syndrome score table and the PAC-QOL table were used to evaluate the clinical efficacy and determine the cure rate and relapse rate.The test data were statistically analyzed using SPSS26.0.Results:(1)General information: There were no significant differences in gender,age,and course of disease between the two groups of patients before treatment(P>0.05).(2)Symptom score improvement results: The degree of improvement of TCM syndrome total scores in 2 weeks of treatment was better than that of western medicine group(P <0.05);the total score of syndromes,major symptom scores,and secondary symptom scores of Chinese medicine group were improved after 4 weeks of treatment.It is better than the western medicine group(P <0.05).In the four dimensions of PAC-QOL score,the Chinese medicine group is better than the Western medicine group in the physical discomfort as well as worries and concerns dimensions(P<0.05),and there is no significant difference in the treatment effect of the psychosocial discomfort and satisfaction dimensions between the two groups.(3)Effectiveness: The effective rate of the traditional Chinese medicine group was 96.9%,the effective rate of the western medicine group was 85.7%,and the effective rate of the traditional Chinese medicine group was better than that of the western medicine group(P <0.05).(4)Recurrence rate: The recurrence rate of the Chinese medicine group was 9.7%,the recurrence rate of the western medicine group was 41.7%,and the recurrence rate ofthe Chinese medicine group was lower than that of the western medicine group(P<0.05).Conclusion: Tiaowei Shengjiang Decoction is better than lactulose oral solution in improving the condition including physical discomfort as well as worries and concerns aspects,reducing recurrence and improving quality of life.
