Clinical Observation Of Danggui Niantong Decoction In The Treatment Of Knee Joint Traumatic Synovitis (damp-heat Blocking Collaterals)

Purpose: To observe the clinical eficacy of Danggui Niantong Decoction combined with Xiaoyan ointment of chronic knee joint synovitis of type of dampness-heat blocking collaterals.Methods : All of the subjects who were diagnosed as chronic synovitis of knee joint and syndrome of dampness-heat blocking collaterals.This study included 60 patients(60 knees)were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,30 cases in each group.The treatment group was given the Danggui Niantong Decoction(Formula granule)by oral administration.The control group was only given oral administration of Celecoxib,Both groups were treated for 2 weeks.Observe before and after treatment consist of the VAS pain scores,Western Ontario and Mc Master Universities Osteoarthritis Index(WOMAC)table,TCM symptom scores and the clinical curative effects were evaluated were compared.Results:After treatment the VAS pain swelling scores,WOMAC scores,TCM Syndromes scores and rate of clinical efficacy were significantly decreased in the two groups(P<0.05)and the scores in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05)except the Pain/Stiffness of Knee Joint in WOMAC.There was no significant difference occurred during treatment period in the two groups.Conclusion: The effect of Danggui Niantong decoction in the Treatment on the patients with dampness-heat blocking collaterals was positive,which could significantly improve pain,swelling of knee joint and knee joint function in the treatment of knee joint synovitis.Its curative is definite with less side effect,and is worth for further promotion and research.
