Clinical Observation Of Huatan Quyu Decoction In Improving Carotid Artery Atherosclerosis (phlegm And Blood Stasis Mutual Syndrome) Carotid Artery Vulnerable Plaque Stability

Objective : To observe the clinical effect of Huatan Quyu Decoction on improving the stability of vulnerable plaque of carotid artery in carotid atherosclerosis(Phlegm and blood stasis syndrome).Methods: Eighty patients with vulnerable plaque of carotid artery in carotid atherosclerosis from August 2018 to December201 9 in our hospital were randomly divided into control group(n= 40)and observation group(n= 40).Both groups were treated with conventional western medicine.The observation group was supplemented with Huatan Quyu Decoction.The course of treatment in both groups was 8 weeks.To observe the changes of color ultrasound results of carotid artery,blood lipid,serum inflammatory index and TCM syndrome integral before and after treatment.Results :1.In the aspect of color ultrasound results of carotid artery,after treatment,There was no significant difference in IMT value,carotid plaque Crouse score and total plaque between the two groups compared with before treatment(P>0.05).The number of carotid artery vulnerable plaques in both groups was significantly reduced(P<0.01),and there was no significantdifference between the two groups.PSV and EDV of common carotid artery in the two groups were faster than those before treatment,and those in the observation group were faster than those in the control group(P < 0.01.PI in the two groups was higher than that before treatment(P<0.01),and there was no difference between the two groups(P>0.05),RI in the observation group was lower than that before treatment(P<0.05),there was no statistical difference before and after treatment in the control group,and between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).2.In the aspect of blood lipid,after treatment,HDL-C in both groups increased significantly,and that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).However,LDL-C,TC and TG in the two groups were all decreased,and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P < 0.05).3.In the aspect of serum inflammation index,a fter treatment,the levels of hs-CRP,IL-6 and TNF-α decreased in both groups,and those in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group,and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.01).4.In the aspect of TCM syndrome integral,The total effective rate of the observation group was 80%,which was higher than that of the control group(60%).P=0.041<0.05,the difference is statistically significant.5.Safety evaluation:No obvious side effects were found in the two groups during treatment.Conclusion:Huatan Quyu Decoction can effectively alleviate the clinical symptoms of carotid atherosclerosis(Phlegm and blood stasis syndrome),the combination of atorvastatin,can significantly improve the blood lipid index,reduce inflammatory factors in blood,improve carotid hemodynamics,so as to stabilize the plaque.It has no obvious toxic and side effects,high safety and significant curative effect,which is worth further promotion.
