Objective:Observe the clinical effect of "dynamic needle retention"in treating upper arm flexor spasm after stroke, compare the treatment difference with " spastic three-needle therapy" to discuss the optimal treatment of flexor spasm after stroke. Methods:Using random number table method,60 patients with upper arm flexor spasm who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into treatment group(30 cases)and control group(30 cases). On the basis of the treatment about Western medicine and conventional rehabilitation, the treatment group was treated with"dynamic needle retention",and the control group was treated with"spastic three-needle therapy".All patients took 2 weeks as a course(no treatment on weekends),two courses of treatment. Both groups of patients were evaluated with the modified Ashworth Spasm Scale(MAS),Activities of Daily Living(ADL)and simplified upper limb Fugl-Meyer score(FMA)before and after treatment. The situation and the improvement of daily life were finally analyzed statistically to get the clinical efficacy of the two groups.By observing laboratory biochemical indicators, the safety of all patients was evaluated. Results:In this study,a total of 1 case was lost(self-exit),and 59 cases were finally completed, including 30 cases in the treatment group and 29 cases in the control group.? In terms of clinical efficacy, the two groups have obvious effects, the difference is statistically significant(P<0.01),the treatment group was better(P<0.05).?Both groups decreased in MAS(P<0.01)after treatment and the "dynamic needle retention" group was better(P<0.05).?After treatment, both groups increased in ADL score, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01),however,between the two groups-there was no significant difference(P>0.05).?After treatment, theFMA scores of the upper limbs of both groups increased(P<0.01),the dynamic needle retention" group was more effective(P<0.05).?In the safety evaluation,1 patient in the treatment group experienced slight pain in the upper arm,and 1 patient in the control group experienced slight nausea and sweating, which could be alleviated after symptomatic treatment. There was no significant change in laboratory indicators after treatment in the two groups, and compared of adverse reactions, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05)Conclusion:"Dynamic needle retention" is effective in treating upper arm flexor spasm after stroke, which is better than " spastic three-needle therapy" in MAS and upper limb FMA score,it can also increase patient compliance and be worthy of clinical promotion and application.
