Purpose: To summarize the syndrome types and medication characteristics of patients with primary liver cancer complicated with ascites,and provide a strong basis for clinical treatment.Material and method:Selected inpatients of primary liver cancer with ascites from April 2017 to December 2018,Department of Oncology,Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Retrospective analysis of general information,symptoms and signs,Chinese and Western medicine treatment,Chinese medicine use,survival,and using Microsoft Excel statistics,SPSS 24.0 cluster analysis of liver cancer patients with peritoneal effusion syndrome and Chinese medicine use,survival analysis using Kaplan Meier method.Results:1.Traditional Chinese medicine syndromes of 56 patients with primary liver cancer complicated with ascites can be divided into spleen and kidney yang deficiency syndrome,liver and kidney yin deficiency syndrome,damp heat accumulation syndrome,cold and dampness syndrome,qi stagnation and dampness syndrome.2.56 patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma complicated with peritoneal effusion were treated with 34 herbal medicines with high frequency,which were beneficial to Qi,invigorating spleen,diffusing water and dampness,detoxifying and dispersing nodules,soothing liver and regulating qi,digestion and stomach.Among them,Qi-invigorating and spleen-invigorating and water-diversifying and dampness-permeating are frequently used.3.The median survival time of 56 patients with primary liver cancer complicated with ascites was 24 months.The median survival time of each syndrome from long to short followed by qi stagnation and dampness syndrome,damp heat accumulation syndrome,cold and dampness syndrome,kidney yang deficiency syndrome,liver and kidney yin deficiency syndrome.Conclusion:The syndromes of patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma complicated with peritoneal effusion are characterized by deficiency and excess,most of thembelong to advanced stage,and the prognosis is poor.The treatment of traditional Chinese medicine is based on invigorating qi,invigorating spleen and eliminating dampness.
