Purpose:Insomnia is a common clinical disease with high incidence.It not only affects the health of the body,but also easily causes mental illness.Severe patients suffer from depression.Insomnia has become a physical and mental disease threatening human health.Traditional Chinese medicine holds that insomnia is not only related to the imbalance of physiological functions of the five zang-organs,but also influenced by mental factors.Therefore,the paper studies the basic theory on the treatment of insomnia through the five emotional zang-organs.Study on law of drug use of insomnia prescription.It is expected to provide a reference for the treatment of insomnia.Material and method:The paper is divided into two sections:theoretical research and data mining research.The theoretical research section,the paper studies the basic theory on the treatment of insomnia through the five emotional zang-organs.In the data mining section,89 prescriptions for insomnia in medical books and medical records of Ming and Qing Dynasties were sorted out.SPSS Statistics 20.0and Clementine12.0software were used to analyze the common experience or rule of the selected prescriptions in the treatment of insomnia.Results:Theoretical research section,This paper discusses the basic theory of the five emotional zang-organs in the Inner Canon of Huangdi.Seven emotions are connected with emotional zang organs.Integration of bodies and spirits are the basis of mental function.The relationship between spirits and bodies can be summarized as that bodies are the shape of spirits and spirits are the use of bodies.Heart governing blood is the material basis of heart hiding spirit,and heart governing blood is the guarantee of spiritual activity.Liver storing blood is the guarantee of liver storing soul.Lung storing Chi is the guarantee of storing corporeal soul.The relationship between “yi” and spleen is mainly embodies in the aspects of spleen producing blood.Kidney storing essence is the basis of kidney storing will.The paper summarizes the pathogenesis of on the treatment of insomnia through the five emotional zang-organs :Heart-blood deficiency,hyperactivity of heart-fire,heart-kidney disharmony cause heart failure to store spirits-insomnia.Liver blood deficiency,stagnation of liver “chi”,flaming-up of the liver-fire cause liver failure to store ethereal soul-insomnia.Lung chi and yin deficiency cause lung failure to store ethereal soul-insomnia.Spleen chi deficiency and spleen failure to transport nutrients upwards make it impossible to nourish the heart spirit,which lead to insomnia.Kidney yin and yang deficiency make it impossible to nourish the heart spirit,which lead to insomnia.Deficiency of kidney essence make it impossible to nourish will,which result in insomnia.Data mining research section,using association rule to study the compatibility of traditional Chinese medicine;to discover new drug pairs and drug groups,to provide reference for treatment of insomnia.Poria cocos was used 34 times with high frequency,followed by ginseng 32 times,in addition,licorice,Angelica sinensis and jujube seed were used more than20 times.According to the results of association rules,the compatible drugs with high confidence and support were poria cocos and tangerine peel,the drug group was Radix polygala,paeoniae alba,Semen Zizyphi;Ziziphus jujuba seed,Polygala tenuifolia,Angelica sinensis;Ginseng,Polygala tenuifolia,Ophiopogon japonicus.Conclusion:1.Doctors of past dynasties paid attention to the relationship between insomnia and the five emotional zang-organs.The five Zang-organs spirits are the external manifestation of the essence of the five zang-organs.Five zang-organs storing essence is the material basis of spirits which is the key to sleep.2.On the Pathogenic aspects of the five emotional zang-organs theory in the treatment of Insomnia.Insomnia can be caused by the heart failure to store spirit,lung failure to store corporeal soul,liver failure to store ethereal soul.Heart spirit can regulate the spirits of the other four zang-organs.Doctors in past dynasties paid attention to the treatment of insomnia from the theory of five emotional zang-organs.Insomnia of the lung failure to store corporeal soul is associated with dreaminess.Regulating physical and mental health by changing dreams can be used.Insomnia of liver failure to store ethereal soul has soul separation syndrome with hallucinations,delusions and other mental disorders.3.Insomnia caused by spleen failure to store “yi” and kidney failure to store “will” were seldom discussed by medical experts in ancient times.Most treatments of insomnia are based on the influence of spleen deficiency and kidney deficiency on heart storing spirits,caused by spleen deficiency and kidney deficiency."Yi" and "will" are related to memory.Prescriptions that nourish the marrow and improve memory can be used for insomnia.4.Ming and Qing physicians attached great importance to the theory of spirits.The way to treat insomnia from the heart storing spirits were valued by doctors in Ming and Qing dynasties.To treat insomnia from the perspective of heart storing spirit and liver storing ethereal soul were frequently used.The method of nourishing blood and tranquilizing the mind is commonly used in nourishing the spirits.Attention should be paid to regulating spleen and stomach to nourish spirits.The law of drug use obtained from data mining is in accordance with clinical application,which also objectively proves the feasibility of applying the theory of five emotional zang-organs to treat insomnia.5.Among emotional insomnia,Insomnia caused by panic are more common,especially in children and women after delivery.Abnormal changes of seven emotions can injure five gods.But emotional injury is not necessarily one-to-one correspondence of the mechanical type of five emotions and five zang organs.The five Zang-organs are interlinked with each other,so emotional injury is complicated and varied.
