Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of needling by five zang-organs regulatingfive zang-soul in insomnia patients and to probe the mechanism.Methods:Sixty cases of patients with insomnia were randomly divided into treatmentgroup (n=30)and control group(n=30).30cases of treatment group, needling by fivezang-organs regulating five zang-soul were selected; and30cases of control group,1mgEstazolam Tablets30min were received before bedtime orally. The treatment lasted for4weeks. After statistics processing, the treatment group and control group in terms of sex, age,duration were comparable. After treatment, their therapeutic effects, cumulative scores ofPittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and plasma serotonin contents before and aftertreatment were compared.Results:(1) The PSQI scores was significantly improved in treatment group and controlgroup after treatment (P<0.01),especially in the treatment group(P<0.05).(2) Plasma5-hydroxytryptamine was significantly increased in the treatment group with a significantdifference as compared with that in the control group (P<0.05).(3) The clinical total effectiverate in treatment group (86.67%) and western medicine control group (80.00%) there was nosignificant difference.(P>0.05)(4)The side effects of Estazolam Tablets developed morefrequently than those of acupuncture except Yun Zhen (p<0.01).Conclusion: The needling by five zang-organs regulating five zang-soul is effective andsafe way in treating insomnia. Patient’s s1eep quality improvement is related to the rise inlevels of5-hydroxytryptamine.The stitch regulation5-HT level may be one of themechanisms for the treatment of insomnia. |
