Study On The Efficacy And Safety Of Iodine-rich Chinese Medicine Ziyin Jianghuo Sanjie Recipe In The Treatment Of Graves Disease

Purpose:To explore the efficacy and safety of iodine-rich Nourishing-Yin Removing-Fire and Dissipating-Stagnation decoction for the treatment of Graves disease,and to provide theoretical basis for the extensive application of iodine-rich Chinese herbal decoction.Material and method:65 Graves disease patients in Endocrine Ward of Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected and randomly divided into two groups.The experimental group was treated with iodine-rich Nourishing-Yin Removing-Fire and Dissipating-Stagnation decoction,and small doses of anti-thyroid drugs could be added as appropriate.The control group was given anti-thyroid drugs orally.All of the patients were observed serum FT4,FT3,TSH,Tg Ab,TPOAb,TRAb by Roche automatic electrochemical luminescence instrument at 2,4,8,and 12 weeks after initiation of treatment,before treatment measure the median urine iodine with visual method of semi-quantitative.The scores of TCM syndromes,thyroid function,thyroid autoantibodies and adverse reactions(liver damage,granulocytopenia,pruritus)of the two groups were observed.Results:1.After treatment,the scores of TCM syndromes in both groups decreased significantly(P<0.05),there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).2.Two weeks after the initial treatment,serum FT3 and FT4 values in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.01);Four weeks after the treatment,serum FT3 and FT4 values in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),and serum TSH values in the control group was higher than that in the experimental group(P<0.05);Eight weeks after the treatment,serum FT3 values in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.01),there was no significant difference in serum FT4 and TSH values(P>0.05);Twelve weeks after the treatment,there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in serum FT3,FT4 and TSH values(P>0.05).3.There was no significant difference in serum Tg Ab and TPOAb between the experimental group and the control group before and after treatment,and the serum TRAb in the experimental group was significantly decreased(P<0.01),while there was no significant change in the control group(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in serum Tg Ab and TPOAb between the two groups after treatment,and serum TRAb in the experimental group was significantly decreased compared with that in the control group(P<0.01).4.The median urinary iodine of the two groups was 50 ?g/L before treatment.5.After treatment,the incidence of adverse reactions was 0 in the experimental group and12.5% in the control group.Conclusion:It is safe,effective and speedy to use iodine-rich Nourishing-Yin Removing-Fire and Dissipating-Stagnation decoction in the treatment of GD.
