| Purpose:To investigate the therapeutic effect of ocular acupuncture combined with Buzhong Yiqi Decoction on Ocular myasthenia gravis MG in spleen deficiency type by the observation of the improved conditions of clinical symptoms of the patients cured by ocular acupuncture combined with Buzhong Yiqi Decoction.Materials and Methods:1.The Subjects are patients with Ocular myasthenia gravis MG in spleen deficiency type received treatment in the affiliated hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from the November of 2015 to the December of 2017.Random number table method was used to randomly divided the patients who met the criteria into observation group and control group.After excluding the patients who met the exclusion criteria,there were respectively 30 patients in observation group and control group.Ocular acupuncture combined with Buzhong Yiqi Decoction were given to the patients in observation group,while only Buzhong Yiqi Decoction was given to control group.The comparation would take on between the two groups of patients after 30 days treatment.The mainly observation and comparation were:(1)The improvement rates of TCM(Traditional Chinese Medicine)symptoms of the two groups patients before and after treatment,and the improvement rates of main symptoms and secondary symptoms.(2)The improvement rates of the two groups patients concerning three aspects:upper eyelid weakness,upper eyelid fatigue test,and eye level activity limitation.The observation indexes are TCM syndrome score,the reducing scores of TCM main symptoms and secondary symptoms and western clinical absolute score.2.The patient’s data which were in line with clinical observation criteria were accurately input into system by SPSS22.0 Statistics Software,and the analysis of the data would be done by the application package.The measurement data between the two groups was compared with independent indicators of t test.Counting data were tested with four grid table x~2;Measurement data are expressed as mean±standard deviation(x±s)form.Results:1.The comparation between patients from observation group and control group concerning TCM syndrome score,western clinical absolute score,age and gender before treatment didn’t have obvious difference(P>0.05),showing the patients from two groups before treatment had comparability.Both ocular acupuncture and Buzhong Yiqi Decoction have effect on ocular myasthenia gravis in spleen-deficiency type,but the clinical effect of observation group is better than control group.2.After over treatment 30 days,within the two groups patients,one patient from observation group has been cured,16 patients have showed the effect and 10 patients were in effect;one patient from control group has been cured,9 patients have showed the effect and 20 patients were in effect.The comparation between TCM syndrome scores from the two groups patients before and after treatment had obvious difference(P<0.05),showing its statistical significance and the TCM syndrome from the two groups patients have all been improved.3.The comparation between the decrease of TCM main symptoms scores from the two groups patients had obvious difference(p<0.05),while the comparation between the decrease of TCM secondary symptoms scores from the two groups patients had no obvious difference(P>0.05),showing the ocular acupuncture in observation group can effectively improve the patients’TCM main symptoms.4.The comparation between TCM syndrome scores from the two groups patients before and after treatment had obvious difference(P<0.05),and the TCM treatment effect between the two groups patients had obvious difference(P<0.05),showing its statistical significance and the effect from observation group was superior than that from control group relating the TCM treatment effect.5.The comparation of the western clinical absolute scores from the two groups patients before and after treatment had obvious difference(P<0.05),showing its statistical significance and the improvement of the western clinical absolute scores from the two groups patients after treatment.6.The comparation of the absolute scores within the two groups after treatment had obvious difference(p<0.05);After over treatment 30 days,within the two groups patients,two patients from observation group has been cured,4 patients have showed the cure and 6 patients were in better condition;one patient from control group has been cured,10 patients have showed the effect and 18 patients were in better condition.The comparation of western medicine efficacy between two groups had obvious difference(P<0.05),showing its statistical significance and the superiority of the treatment from observation group in improving upper eyelid weakness and eyeballs level activity limitation while prolonging the upper eyelid drooping time.Conclusion:1.The treatment of ocular acupuncture combined with Buzhong Yiqi Decoction is more effectively for improving the patients’TCM main symptoms such as blepharoptosis,diplopia,and strabismus than the treament of Buzhong Yiqi Decoction.2.The treatment of ocular acupuncture combined with Buzhong Yiqi Decoction can improve upper eyelid weakness and eyeballs level activity limitation and prolong the upper eyelid drooping time.3.Buzhong Yiqi Decoction can improve the symptoms of fatigue,bad appetite,and thin stool. |
