Clinical Observation Of Modified Shashen Maidong Decoction In Treating Cough Variant Asthma With Lung Yin Deficiency Syndrome

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Jiawei Shashen Maidong Decoction in treating Cough Variant Asthma(Cough Varit Asthma)of Lung Yin Deficiency Syndrome.Methods: A total of 60 subjects were divided into treatment group(30 cases of medicine Jiawei Shashen Maidong Decoction)and control group(30 cases of montelukast sodium tablets),the course of treatment was 4 weeks.Therapeutic indicators :TCM symptom score,the Leicester Cough Questionnaire,Peak expiratory flow and Eosinophils were observed before and after treatment;safety indicators: Cr,BUN,AST,ALT.To evaluate its clinical efficacy and safety.Results:58 patients completed the clinical observation,that is,28 patients in the treatment group and 30 patients in the control group.(1)TCM symptom score observation: the treatment group was considerably better than the control group(P=0.001<0.05),suggesting that the treatment group performed much better than the control group in reducing the score of TCM symptoms is obviously less than that of the control group.(2)The curative effect of LCQ integral: There was statistical significance between the two groups in the physiological and social area integrals of LCQ(P<0.05),and the experimental group was better than the control group;while in the psychological area integral of LCQ,there was no significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05),indicating that there was no significant difference between the two group in improving patients' psychological area;The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.001),which indicated that the treatment group was better than the control group in improving the overall quality of life of CVA patients.(3)Observation on the efficacy of PEF and EOS: The treatment group was superior to the control group in improving the airway diastolic function of CVA patients,and superior to the control group in reducing EOS(P<0.05).(4)Observation of safety indicators: mainly including Cr,BUN,AST,ALT.Before and after the treatment,no significant difference has been observed between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05),indicating that the two groups of drugs had no effect on safety indicators and were safe to take.(5)The total effective rate after treatment: the total effective rate was 92.86% in the treatment group and 80.00% in the control group.There was statistical differencebetween the two groups(P<0.05).It was concluded that both groups were effective in CVA treatment,but the controlgroup was obviously less than the treatment control group.Conclusion: Jiawei Shashen Maidong Decoction is superior to Montelukast sodium in the treatment of cough variant asthma of lung yin deficiency type.It has no adverse reactions.It can effectively aleviate clinical symptoms,reduce airway hyperresponsiveness.It is worthy of further clinical promotion and research.
