Objective To survey the awareness of SLE related knowledge of the out-patients department of immunology,Peking Union Hospital in order to provide a reference basis for health promotion of SLE.Method We conducted face-to-face survey of 113 SLE patients based on self-designed questionnaire. The main content of the investigation included social demographic characteristics, knowledge about SLE,demand for education, etc.Descriptive stastical analyses were perfomed with SPSS 23.0.Outcome The overall awareness rate of SLE related knowledge was 53.8%in 113 patients;32.1%,57.5%,and 68.1%in the three aspects of SLE basic knowledge, medicine related knowledge and precautions. The difference in knowledge level of SLE patients with different levels of education, marital status, occupation, period of follow-up,number of hospitalizations, and number of affected organs was statistically significant(p<0.05).The younger the patient, the marriage status, the shorter the follow-up time, the higher the level of disease knowledge, the higher the degree of education needs.Online inquiries,one-to-one education with health care provider, and disease brochure are three relatively good ways to get disease information according to patients. Conclusion The patients' awareness of SLE related knowledge is needed to be improved, especially the SLE basic knowledge. Most of patients have a higher demand for health education, which should be carried out according to patients' situation. Objective To investigate the status of knowledge about treatment and management on systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)among general practitioners(GPs)in community health service centers(CHCs)of Beijing and to provide useful information for implementation of targeted training programs for GPs.Method A total of 225 GPs were selected from 7 community health service centers and their subordinate community health service stations at Dongcheng district in Beijing in November 2017 by sampling method. The subjects were investigated with a self-designed questionnaire, which included basic information of GPs,SLE-related knowledge and the demands of continuing medical education(CME)for GPs.Outcome 225 valid questionnaires were received with a retrieval rate of 99.6%.The overall accuracy rate of SLE knowledge was 47.0%;the accuracy rates of diagnosis, treatment, and management knowledge were 28.3%,58.4%and 49.0%,respectively.There were significance differences in the accuracy rate of the treatment goals among GPs with different years of working(p=0.038),but no significance differences were observed in accuracy rates of any questions among GPs with different education. However, there were significance differences in the accuracy rate of the glucocorticoid side-effects among GPs with different professional title and working years(p<0.05).79.6%of participants regarded community management of SLE patients as necessary, and the factors influencing capability of management SLE patients included fewer patients, unfamiliar with SLE and lack of approaches to learning.76.4%of participants thought that training classes and lectures were suitable for CME teaching. Conclusion The knowledge and management capability on SLE among GPs in CHCs are insufficient, but the demands of GPs for acquiring SLE related knowledge are high. The capability of recognize and management of SLE should be improved by cooperation of GPs,trainers, and community health administrators.
