The Clinical Effect Of Miao Medicine Crossbow Medicine Acupuncture Therapy On Knee Osteoarthritis And Its Effect On Serum Cytokine Content

Object:The author intends to cure KOA with crossbow needle therapy,to investigate the changes of WOMAC score and the amount of IL-1?,IL-6,TNF-? in patients' serum before and after treatment,and thus explore the clinical efficacy and possible mechanism of crossbow needle therapy in the treatment of KOA.Methods:According to randomized controlled clinical trial design,the 102 standard-reached cases of KOA patients were randomly divided into crossbow needle group and acupuncture group,51 cases in each group.The patients in the crossbow needle group were treated with crossbow needle therapy.The acupuncture group was treated with simple needle therapy.The two groups were treated three times a week(every two days for a time)and each time for twenty minutes,and the treatments last for two courses(ten times as a course of treatment)in total,with a month of follow-up visit.The changes of WOMAC score and content IL-1?,IL-6 and TNF-? will be evaluated before and after the treatment.The results will be conducted by SPSS22.0 statistical software analysis.Results:1.Baseline comparison:The basic information,duration,radiological conditions,WOMAC score in the pain,stiffness,daily activities and serum levels of IL-1?,IL-6,TNF-? of the patients of two groups before the treatment have no statistical significance(P>0.05),which means they are comparable.2.The total effective rate comparison:The total effective rate of crossbow needle group was 96%,and acupuncture group was 84%,which means the crossbow needle group was better than acupuncture group(P<0.05).3.WOMAC total scores comparison:? The inner-group comparison before and after the treatment:After treatment,the pain,stiffness,daily activity difficulty and total scores of WOMAC of the crossbow needle group were lower than before,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).After treatment,the pain,stiffness,daily difficulty and total scores of WOMAC of the acupuncture group were lower than before,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).?Comparison of scores after treatment between groups:The crossbow needle group with pain,daily activity difficulty and total scores of WOMAC were lower than the acupuncture group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the stiffness score comparison,there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).?The comparison of follow-up visit group:In crossbow needle group there was no significant difference between after-treatment and follow-up visit one and follow-up visit two(P>0.05).The acupuncture group was compared with follow-up visit one and after treatment and follow-up two,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).4.Changes in serum cytokines:?The changes of the amount of IL-1? before and after treatment:The amount of IL-1? in serum of crossbow needle group was lower than before the treatment,whose difference was significant(P<0.01).The amount of IL-1? in the serum of acupuncture group was lower than before the treatment(P<0.01).After treatment,crossbow needle group was lower than the acupuncture group,and the difference was significant(P<0.01).?The changes of the amount of IL-6 before and after treatment:The amount of IL-6 in serum of crossbow needle group after treatment have no difference with before treatment(P>0.05).The amount of IL-6 in serum of acupuncture group after treatment have no difference with before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,there was no significant difference between two groups(P>0.05).?The changes of the amount of TNF-a before and after treatment:The amount of TNF-? in serum of crossbow needle group was lower than before the treatment,and the difference was significant(P<0.01).The amount of TNF-? in the serum of acupuncture group was lower than before treatment(P<0.01).After treatment,crossbow needle group was lower than the acupuncture group,the difference was significant(P<0.01).Conclusion:1.Crossbow needle therapy in the treatment of KOA is clinically effective,and relatively safe,and the effect still sustained within one month after treatment.2.The amount of IL-1?,TNF-? in serum of the patients' reduced after crossbow needle therapy treatment,which may be one of the mechanisms of therapeutic KOA.
