This thesis elaborated the study on the chemical constituents of Caesalpinia spinosa Kuntze,By multiple chromatographies over various materials,twenty-two compounds,including two news sesquiterpenoids and one new cassane diterpene,were isolated from the pods of the plant.These compounds mainly contain sesquiterpenoids,cassane diterpenes,triterpenes,steroidal,phenolic compound and other constituents.The cassane-type diterpenes from the plants of Erythrophleum,Acacia,Myrospermum,Oryza,Chamaecrista,Swartzia,Osteospermum,Laxiflorus,Plathymenia,Bowdichia,Cordyla and Bobgunnia genus,and the fungi of Paraconiothyrium genus were reviewed in the first chapter.The second chapter presented the study on the chemical constituents of Caesalpinia spinosa Kuntze,commonly known as Tara,is a small Leguminous tree or thomy shrub native to Peru.C.spinosa is cultivated as a source of tannins.It has been introduced and cultivated in the drier parts of Yunnan Province.During our phytochemical investigation on the pods of C.spinosa,twenty-two compounds were obtained.On the basis of spectroscopic analysis,their structures were elucidated to be: spinosin A(1),tricyclohumuladiol(2),aromadendrane-4?,10?-diol(3),clovane-2?,9?-diol(4),(+)-aphanamol I(5),9?-hydroxy-1?-ethoxycaryolanol(6),10-hydroxy-6,10-epoxy-7(14)-isodaucane(7),4(14)-eudesmene-6?,11-diol(8),4(15)-eudesmene-1?,6?-diol(9),oplopanone(10),artabotrol(11),caespinoic acid A(12),isoneocaesalpin H(13),4'-hydroxy-7-methoxyhomoisoflav-3-en(14),4?,4'-dihydroxy-7-methoxy-3?-ethoxyhomoisoflavane(15),betulinic acid(16),stigmast-4-ene-3?,6?-diol(17),pentanedioic acid,3-amino-1-methyl ester(18),?-sitosterol(19),4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxybenzaldehyde(20),gallic acid(21),gallic ethyl acetate(22).Among them,compound 1 and compound 6 are news sesquiterpenoids,compound 13 is new cassane diterpene,compounds 3,5,7,8,11,17-20 were firstly isolated from this plant.
