In China,Chinese herbal medicine plants are mostly consisited of Melodinus. In the southwest of China, the plants are very diversed because of the geological, geomorphology, climate and soil types. The previous study found that the secondary metabolites in the same plant also is obvious differenct due to environment, which provides the advantage of finding various and novel compounds. This dissertation is comprised of three chapters.A review of the research progress on chemical constituents and anti-tumor activity of Melodinus genus. And the chemical constituents of the Melodinus khasianus and Melodinus henryi have been studied at the second chapter and the third chapter.(1)A total of 15 compounds from Melodinus khasianus extractum were isolated by varied column chromatography such as TLC,ODS,HPLC and Sephadex LH-20.And these compounds structures were identified on the basis of physical and chemical properties and extensive spectroscopic methods such as MS,UV,IR,NMR,X-Ray.Besides compounds 1 and 2,other 13 compounds were isolated for the first time, including alkaloids, phthalates, phytosterols, piperazines, piperazines, amino acid derivativesands, aromatic compounds and blumenols.(2)Seventeen compounds were isolation and identification from Melodinus henryi. Those compounds were composed of several structure such as aspidos-permines,eburnamines,quinolones,lignins and strychnines.(3)The assays of antioxidant activity and enzyme inhibition activities of the extracts and isolated compounds are screened. The results revealed that 16 compounds have antioxidant activities,11 compounds have ?-glucosidase inhibitory activities, and 10 compounds have pancreatic lipases inhibition activities.
