Objective: Based on structured electronic medical records established esophageal cancer research database, using the database classification, collection, collation and Sichuan Provincial Cancer Hospital esophageal cancer related clinical data storage, and the use of database data, statistical analysis and clinical application of and verify database applications. Methods: Esophageal cancer research database system architecture using based on C / S structure of the three-tier structure system,on the platform of Microsoft Windows XP Professional 2002 with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 development related function applications, and the use of Microsoft SQL Server 2010 relational data library management system to manage the database. Results: The research database of esophageal cancer in Sichuan cancer hospital was established, and the operation of the database was good.Database was collected in January 1,2013-January 01,2014 from the Sichuan provincial cancer hospital and confirmed by the pathology of esophageal cancer patients a total of 1143 cases. The database can realize the function of data storage, query, retrieval, analysis, and complete the basic data of 1143 cases of patients with esophageal cancer analysis. Objective: Analysis of stage ? esophageal cancer patients blood inflammatory markers and the relationship between clinicopathological features and prognosis. Methods: From January 1,2013 to January 1,2014,a total of 100 patients with esophageal cancer from Sichuan tumor hospital were included, which were confirmed by pathology, and were treated with palliative radiotherapy and chemotherapy.Patients before the treatment of blood routine examination and biochemical tests, and the patients were grouped according to the number of white blood cells(?10/>10)×10^9/L,hemoglobin(?120/<120)g/L,platelet count(?300/>300)×10^9/L,neutrophil cell number(?7/>7)×10^9/L,the number of lymphocytes(?0.8/<0.8)×10^9/L,albumin(>40.6/?40.6)g/L,the neutral granular cells / lymphocyte ratio(NLR)(?3.3/>3.3),platelet / lymphocyte ratio(PLR)(?150.51/150.51),C-reactive protein(CRP)(<10/?10)mg/L and C-reactive protein(CRP)/albumin ratio(CRP/ALB)(?0.5/>0.50).All patients were followed up until January 1,2016,according to the follow-up results using SPSS analysis with the overall survival time(OS).Results: The average survival time of 100 patients with palliative radiotherapy and chemotherapy was 13 + 6.1 months, the median survival time was 12 months, the 1 year survival rate was 55%,and the 2 year survival rate was 16%.Using single factor analysis of Kaplan-Meier method, there are 7 factors that can predict survival time(OS)are defined:White blood cell count ?10×10^9/L? platelet number ?300×10^9/L?the neutral granular cell number ?7×10^9/L?albumin > 40.6g/L?PLR?149.45?CRP<10mg/L?CRP/ALB?0.5 that survival time longer,P value < 0.05.Using Cox regression multivariate analysis, platelet number ?300×10^9/L(P=0.008)(P = 0.008),CRP/ALB ? 0.5(P = 0.025)are independent prognostic factors. In addition, higher CRP/ALB value(CRP/ALB > 0.5)and distant lymph node transfer, white blood cell count, hemoglobin, platelet count, neutrophil cell number, the number of lymphocytes, albumin,NLR,PLR,CRP related(P < 0.05).Conclusion: Stage ? esophageal carcinoma patients with palliative radiotherapy and chemotherapy before, the index of platelet count(PLT)and Creactive protein(CRP)/ albumin ratio CRP/ALB are independent prognostic factors for patients with stage ? esophageal carcinoma and its prognostic value needs further prospective multi-center study confirmed.
