At present,there is a buyer’s market for a lot of agricultural products in our country,and farmers all over the country are facing the difficult situation of "planting,raising,but not selling".Wuxi county is a typical mountainous agricultural county.Local farmers have a long history of raising goats,and goat scale farming is an important source of income for local farmers.As more and more goats are raised,they cannot be sold or cannot be sold at a good price,leaving farmers in a difficult position.Therefore,it is of great significance for local farmers to get rid of difficulties and increase their income to solve the problem of selling goats.Through field investigation,this paper collected in Wuxi county relevant data and data of goat farmers and explored the problems and causes from the two aspects of channel circulation and product competition.And from the farmers’ marketing channels and product competitiveness,put forward targeted countermeasures.The research found that the marketing channels:(1)Farmers’ information sources are few,the production and management of the information degree is low;(2)The sales channel is single,the retailer door-to-door purchase as the main way to sell farmers goats,there are too many levels of sales;(3)The degree of farmer organization is low,cooperative sales and enterprise order sales two channels to cover very few farmers,for farmers goats sales driving force is not strong.In terms of products:(1)The goat breeds currently raised by Wuxi farmers are poor,the product price is low,and the breeding of Wuxi and adjacent counties is similar,which leads to serious homogenization competition and a lack of regional brand building.(2)The product development and utilization of goats is single,the consumer demand is subject to seasonal and regional influence,resulting in farmers goats unmarketable.This paper proposes countermeasures in two aspects.One is the channel.(1)Establish the goat sales information system in the county to solve the problem of lack of information between farmers and acquirers;(2)Strengthen the horizontal association of farmers,support cooperatives,solve the problem of farmers entering the large social market,achieve bulk trading,expand the sales channels;(3)Foster and support leading enterprises,develop the "leading enterprises + cooperatives + farmers" model,so that farmers and enterprises to form a stable community of interests,not only to solve the problem of household goat sales,but also to increase the income of farmers.Second,in terms of products.(1)Develop characteristic banjiao goat breeding industry,cultivate banjiao goat regional brand,make the market bigger,and raise the product price;(2)Develop the goat product processing industry,develop a variety of series of mutton food,create consumer demand,extend the sales radius.In addition,we should increase the training of farmers’ market knowledge,improve their information literacy,and update their sales concept,so that farmers can adapt to the needs of social consumers in goat breeding production.
