Poultry farming is one of the important parts in China's animal husbandry production.With the development of the scaled and intensive poultry breeding farming,precision and intelligent breeding is great significance to improve the quality of goose meat and eggs.At present,the development of the geese industry lags far behind other poultry(e.g.,chickens)farming.Therefore,it is necessary to design an intelligent monitoring system for goose individual recognizing and eggs laying under the condition of unstimulating to improve the management and efficiency of goose breeding production,timely eliminate low-yielding geese.In this paper,an intelligent system based on Radio Frequency Identification System(RFID)technology and photoresistor sensors was developed to monitor the individual egg production of the goose;a geometric calculation-based egg laying position algorithm was provided;moreover,the application system of individual goose monitoring was developed also combined with video technology to insure the accuracy of the recognition.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)A systematic and in-depth study on the fields of the goose's egg-laying habits,living environmental factors and the physical shape of eggs.Also,the techniques that suitable for develop the goose monitoring system were presented.(2)Hardware design for individual goose recognition and eggs monitoring was provided.The RFID technology was used to identify the individual information of the goose,and the STC12C5A60S2 single-chip microcomputer was used as the core processor of the egg detection part.The circuit of the hardware system is realized by combining the electronic devices such as the laser transmitter,the photoresistor module,the wireless module and the relay.(3)Software design and development of a single goose egg production monitoring system.According to the data collected by the hardware device,module functions,interfaces and communication protocols of the host computer system,the data collection and storage of the individual egg production were realized.(4)An algorithm of goose egg position based on geometric calculation principle was proposed.A rectangular coordinate system was constructed by a laser emitter and photoresistor receivers,and the quadrilateral region of the goose egg was determined by the occlusion condition when the laser signal was shaped by the photoresistor,and the geometrical calculation method is used to calculate the exact position of the goose egg.(5)Experimental design and research on individual intelligent detection equipment for goose breeding was carried out.Through laboratory experiment to determine the feasibility and rationality of hardware equipment assembly,and achieve a good performance of hardware device.A field test,conducted in the goose base located in Duerbert Mongolian Autonomous County,Daqing City,Heilongjiang Province,China,was carried out after the laboratory experiments for further improvement of the system design.
