| With accelerated economic globalization,enterprises are now faced with more intense,broader and deeper competition.Undoubtedly,this is challenging to all enterprises.If an enterprise wants to seize market opportunities,it needs to improve its soft and hard power and build a great competitive advantage to achieve asset appreciation.Therefore,enhancing investment in human resources is critical to an enterprise ’ s long-term development.Humans are the origin of power that boosts the sustained development of enterprises.In essence,competition among enterprises is competition among talents.If an enterprise can attract more excellent talents,it will get the upper hand in competition.Thus,enterprises should gain a deeper understanding of human resource management from a perspective of talents and continuously improve theories of human resource management,based on which they should continuously enhance its practice.In this paper,concepts and characteristics of cross-cultural human resource management and Hofstede’s cultural dimensions theory were introduced.The existing human resource management model of SWC Co.,Ltd.,a joint venture founded by Qingdao Port International Co.,Ltd.and Maersk Group,was briefly described to analyze the great significance of the optimization of its human resource management system in many aspects.Through a questionnaire survey and the interview,Based on cultural differences and human resources 4P management,an empirical analysis was conducted to further illustrate the status quo and deficiencies of its existing human resource management system and discover its main problems in professional quality management,compensation management,position management and performance management.Then,Hofstede’s cultural dimensions theory was used to analyze causes of these problems.At last,specific optimization strategies for the human resource management system were proposed;the principles and overall idea of the human resource management system were examined;and specific optimization measures were described in detail.This paper is aimed at improving this company’s human resource management system,enhancing the development of its talent strategy and providing theoretical guidance for the design of the joint venture ’ s human resource management system.This paper is also expected to facilitate the construction and development of the human resource management system of China’s joint ventures. |
