| With the rapid development of urbanization and motorization in China,it has brought many negative impacts on environment and urban resident health.Advocating urban slowly traffic and public transit development can become a practical solution.In the process of increasing public transport investment and construction in the city,public bicycles are rapidly developed due to having characteristics of both slowly traffic and public transit.On the other hand,the multi-modal public transit system with the main modes of conventional bus,subway,and public bicycles is gradually formed.However,the relationship between different modes in multi-modal public transit is still unclear.Therefore,it is necessary to clarify the relationship between public bicycles and other mode of public transit,and to explore the impact of public bicycles on other mode of public transit and its influencing factors.So that it can provide theoretical basis for optimizing urban public transit structure and improving the operation of public bicycle system.Taking Xi’an as a case area,aim to explore the impact of public bicycle travel on the use of other public transits.From the perspective of public bicycle users’ travel and based on the survey data collected from different public bicycle stations,this research firstly analyzes the impact ways of public bicycles travel on other public transits.Then,this research analyzes the characteristics and differences of different impact ways.Finally,using the logistic regression model to explore the influencing factors of different impact ways.The conclusion as follows:(1)Public bicycle travel has impacts on other public transits.The impacts can be divided into two ways:substitution and complement.Public bicycles are often used to substitute bus or complement subway.(2)The impacts of substitution and complement differ from users’ socioeconomic attributes and travel attributes.With the improvement of user’s age,education level,monthly income,family scale,and the number of family vehicles,the substitution rate and complement rate show the characteristics of "first increasing and then decreasing".When travel purpose is commuting,the substitution rate and complement rate are greater than other travel purposes.During the bottom period,the substitution rate is greater than the complement rate,while the peak period is just the opposite;As the travel time and travel distance increasing,the substitution rate gradually decreases,and the complement rate approximately shows the characteristics of "first increasing and then decreasing".(3)The factors of social economic attributes,travel characteristics,attitudes and preferences,and built environment have different effects on substitution and complement.Among them,the influence of social economic attributes is greater than the other three types of factors.This explains that users will integrate all aspects of themselves when selecting public transit tools and travel modes.(4)The travel time and travel purpose in travel characteristics are the two most important factors affecting the substitution and complement.Travel time has a significant negative impact on the substitution but has a significant positive impact on the complement.Commuting travel has a significant positive impact on substitution and complement,and also has a significant positive impact on substitution intensity and complement intensity.(5)Convenience,comfort and economy in attitudes and preferences are the three important factors affecting the substitution and complement.Convenience has a greater impact on substitution and complement of public bicycle to bus,while economy and comfort have greater impacts on on substitution and complement of public bicycle to subway.(6)Built environment is the most complicated factor.This indicates that there are significant regional differences in the substitution and complement of public bicycle to other public transits.The areas where public bicycle substitutes or complements the subway are mainly located in high main rode density and high population density areas.In the areas where bus infrastructure is perfect,the public bicycles have a small complement effect on bus.On the contrary,the public bicycles have a strong complement effect on bus in the areas where the bus infrastructure is imperfect. |
