A Study On The Spatial Form Of Churches From The Perspective Of Local Culture

Nujiang,a multi-ethnic region of Yunnan province,are few studies on church architecture and interior space.It is of a certain positive significance to fully understand and grasp the history and present situation of Christianity in Nujiang region,explain and figure out its relationship with local culture and explore the space form of the church,which is benefical to understand the development history of Christianity in Yunnan.Taking the spatial form of Christian church form the perspective of local culture as the topic,trying to objectively introduce,analyze and study the spatial form of Christian church in Nujiang area of Yunnan from the perspective of local culture is the focus of this paper.The significance of choosing the Christian church in Nujiang area of Yunnan province as the object of study is to examine and study the conflict and fusion between the local culture and the western church culture from the local perspective.Based on the investigative results of 16 churches in Nujiang area and detailed surveying and mapping datas,in order to draw,ichnographies,elevations and related analysis maps,and combined with the photos taken by myself.this paper focus on studying the relationship between the local culture and the construction of Christian churches in Nujiang area,and draws the relevant results.The churches are generally distributed in the village in the aspects of churches location and environment.While adapting to the natural environment,it constantly increases the connection with the surrounding residents.In terms of the overall layout,the local environment is compatible with Christianity.In the aspect of the main building,with the local culture as the background,and from six aspects of the plan form,elevation form,internal space,detail decoration,light,building materials and technology,which are in concrast to the western traditional church in detailed.Furthermore,this paper aims to sort out the local culture of Nujiang area and compare and summarize influence on the spatial shape of church architecture.The paper is aimed at analyzing the game process between local culture and western culture in Nujiang area and shows the containment and impact of our country’s culture,so as to make up for the shortage of relevant information.
