The promotion of urbanization process and the improvement of people’s requirements for indoor environment,thermal comfort and health of buildings are very important challenges for building energy conservation.As a place to maintain human health and comfort,hospital buildings pay more attention to the control of indoor air quality and thermal comfort than other buildings,which is directly related to the health of patients and medical staff.When the outdoor air conditions are better,the window opening behavior can improve the indoor air quality,appropriate and reasonable window opening can also achieve the effect of energy saving.Therefore,this study on the window opening behavior of hospital building personnel in summer and transition season has very important practical significance.In this study,the research methods of field tests and theoretical analysis were adopted.Field testing was carried out in four wards and one doctor’s office on the second floor of a maternity hospital building in Beijing from July 16 to September 14,2018(summer)and September 16 to October 31,2018(transitional season).The indoor environmental parameters(i.e.indoor temperature,indoor relative humidity,indoor carbon dioxide concentration)and outdoor environment parameters(i.e.outdoor temperature,outdoor relative humidity,outdoor PM2.5 concentrations,wind speed and direction,solar irradiance)as well as the open/closed state of windows were monitored in real time,lay the foundation for the follow-up study of the driving factors of window opening behavior in hospital buildings.Based on the test data,SPSS statistical analysis software was used to analyze the correlation between single environmental parameters and window opening probability of hospital buildings in summer and transition season.The results show that different seasons and rooms will cause different situations between the same environmental factors and window-opening probability.Secondly,through the analysis of a variety of environmental parameters,we find out the driving factors that have significant impact on window opening behavior.Finally,using binary logistic regression analysis,a mathematical model describing the window opening behavior in summer and transition seasons of hospital buildings in Beijing is established.The results show that indoor temperature is the most important environmental parameter to influence the window opening behavior in Beijing area hospitals in summer,followed by outdoor temperature,and indoor relative humidity and indoor CO2 concentration have little influence.The outdoor temperature has the greatest influence on the window opening behavior of hospitals in Beijing during the transition season,followed by indoor temperature,indoor CO2 concentration and outdoor relative humidity have little influence.The research results can provide some references for improving indoor air quality,thermal comfort of personnel,energy-saving research and natural ventilation design of hospital buildings.
