Research On The Development Strategy Of Nanjing Port Group

Nanjing Port Group is mainly engaged in container,oil liquefaction,bulk cargo,Automobile Ro-Ro and other major port handling and warehousing industries,expanding the operation of port logistics,port and shipping transport,port machinery manufacturing,water transport engineering and asset management?The business of Nanjing Port Group consists of five sections.With the ever-changing macro-environment of the government and the ever-intensifying competition pattern of the port,how to find the right development orientation,win market competition and achieve high-quality and sustainable development has become an urgent problem to be solved.This paper has researched the development strategy of Nanjing Port.This paper first introduces the basic situation and development status of Nanjing Port Group,analysis of the main business composition and operation status,points out that Nanjing Port has some problems,such as low operating efficiency,unbalanced development,lack of resource integration and refined management level.Subsequently,the"PEST"analysis method was used to analyze the macro environment.The results shows that the major development strategies of the Yangtze River Economic Zone,regional shipping logistics center and Ning-Zhen-Yang Integration,the rapid development of port-industry-city integration and hinterland economy has brought great opportunities for transformation and development.At the same time,the opening of deepwater fairway,the rapid development of science and technology and information technology have brought challenges.Secondly,using Porter's Five Forces Model to analyze the competitive situation,it is concluded that Nanjing Port is facing fierce price competition due to excessive port capacity,homogenization of products and services and other reasons.From the perspective of enterprise management and control mode,human resources,financial situation,technology and informatization,the internal environment of resources and capabilities of Nanjing Port Group is analyzed.After SWOT analysis,this paper compares and analyses the feasibility of three development strategies:specialization,diversification and integration,suggested that an integrated development strategy should be adopted.In terms of wharf business,we should adopt the strategy of focusing and horizontal integration,set up Ning-Zhen-Yang Port Group,integrate resources,realize the development of integration of investment,construction,operation and management.In terms of related industries,we should adopt the strategy of differentiation and vertical integration,improve the relationship between related industries and main business,and build integrated port operators and integrated logistics service providers.In the end,this paper decomposes the objectives and main implementation contents of the development strategy,formulates specific strategic implementation plans for the main business and related industries,and puts forward specific tasks such as promoting the integration of internal and external resources and integrated operation,deepening the reform of institutional mechanisms,strengthening internal organization control,and building smart green low-carbon ports.Meanwhile,it is necessary to ensure the smooth and effective implementation of the development strategy through integrated thinking,organizational restructuring,optimization of human resources structure,strengthening personnel training,promoting the construction of enterprise culture,and strengthening the risk management.
