Creative Design Of Chinese Dragon Element Cultural Derivatives

Dragon is the unique totem image of the Chinese nation.In thousands of years of long history,its shape has gradually improved,and eventually become the cultural symbol of the Chinese nation.In the thousands of years of historical development,the dragon has absorbed the nutritional changes and development of the times from the simple formation in the early stage to the mature and stylish in the middle stage and then to the brilliant and colorful in the later stage.Historically,dragon is not only the symbol of ruling class identity,but also popular with the people.Dragon has gradually become an auspicious symbol,integrated into people's lives,and merged into the long river of historical development.In this paper,through the analysis of the traditional dragon's shape,the image of the dragon is deduced in a modern way.Firstly,the origin and development of dragon are summarized and sorted out,and the evolution of dragon's shape in different periods is analyzed.Secondly,the successful cultural derivatives are analyzed from the perspective of design,from which the design inspiration and design concept are sought,and the innovative points in the design of cultural derivatives are found.Finally,we use dragon as the element of creative design,select the image of the four seas dragon king,carry out a series of extension design,and use design elements for reference in the design of existing cultural derivatives.The design of cultural derivatives of dragon elements should be diversified and serialized,and play its own value and significance.
