Innovative Redesign Of Traditional Chinese Educational Toys

Puzzle toys occupy a large share in toy market nowadays,but most of them are developed abroad,and the share of traditional intellectual toys in China is relatively small.The reason is that the traditional puzzle toys have not been effectively innovated and redesigned,so that the playing method is old and single,lacking of interesting and in-depth.In this paper,through the previous market research,the analysis of Chinese traditional puzzle toys,the summary of the existing puzzle toys in the market,the most representative four traditional puzzle toys in China are selected as examples: Luban lock,Huarong Road,Nine-link ring ring and Qiqiaoban,and their entertainment,puzzle and education functions are sorted out and analyzed.According to the analysis results,different kinds of puzzle toys are selected.The characteristics of puzzle toys are summarized and integrated with the existing puzzle toys to create and design puzzle toys with Chinese characteristics.This paper is an innovative redesign of Chinese traditional puzzle toys.It breaks through the conventional play method on the basis of inheriting the essence of traditional puzzle toys,making them more interesting and durable.Based on Piaget's theory of children's intelligence and Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences,this paper designs the puzzle toys.The main innovation is to increase the diversity of puzzle toys with Chinese culture.Secondly,the lock design is further deepened into Chinese Riddle Box design,which greatly increases the depth and playfulness.
