Analysis Of The Topic Selection Of The Thesis Of Master Of Education (Discipline Education·Biology)

Master of Education in China has experienced more than 20 years' development since its establishment,with its increasing enrollment and the expanding training scale,the cultivation quality and the development direction of Ed.M are also widely concerned.As the most important academic achievement of master students during their learning phase,the academic dissertation spends students much experience and must be undergo a stringent review process and it reflects Ed.M's academic ability and practical ability.To some extent,the quality of academic dissertation reflects the training quality of Ed.M and the academic development level in this field.This research will be based on the standard of dissertation's topic selection,discipline characteristics and the researcher's responsibilities and cognitive level.The research chooses Ed.M(Subject Teaching.Biology)'s academic dissertation in CNKI's "CMFD" as a research object to research the topic of the dissertations,including its overall trend,the direction of the topic and making some comparisons,etc.And we will summarize its characteristics and its influencing factors.The advantages of dissertation's topic selection include feasibility of research,extensive research areas and with good application of value.The disadvantages of dissertation's topic selection include a lack of innovation,single research direction and the weak problem awareness.Therefore,it is concluded that there are three main factors influencing the selection of dissertation topics:universities,tutors and students.According to all of these,we will make recommendations on improving Ed.M's dissertation quality and cultivation quality and developing the Master of Education.
