Women's Heptathlon Ranking Model Based On Improved Gray Target Decision-making

Sports is a measure of the overall strength of a country,it is an important factor that affects the country's international status.Heptathlon is one of the major international competitions of the Olympics,championships and other events;It is a project to examine the overall strength of athletes.The main work of this paper is as follows:1.The way of heptathlon ranking is: firstly through the track and field all-around score table to make corresponding conversions to the initial scores of seven competition items,and then add up the scores of each individual item and rank them according to the total score.This study finds that this way may result in players with high total scores but short board scores achieving a very good or even best ranking.This contradicts the “omnipotent” meaning that the all-around movement requires athletes to achieve outstanding results against each item.That is,this way of adding rankings is unreasonable.2.The results of the conversion of the heptathlon are determined by the track and field omnipotent score table,It has been pointed out from previous literature that the track and field omnipotent score table has problems that the scoring starting point is too low and the score is not balanced.This article illustrates through examples that the presently unbalanced conclusions of the development of the heptathlon are still open to question.3.As the problems existing in the performance of the systemic divisions have not yet been solved effectively,this paper will directly adopt the initial results of the heptathlon to build models.Because of the different dimensions between the individual items,we construct a 'punishing the bad' operator which can promote athletes to strive for comprehensive and balanced development.The individual items are converted according to the distance from the relative best result;the larger the gap.That is,different levels of "punishing the bad" will be applied to projects that have not achieved the best results;By selecting the calculation method of weighted Mahalanobis distance,the influence of the difference in relevance and importance between the heptathlon sports sub-items on the decision making results is avoided.A new ranking model based on gray target decision theory was constructed.4.Use examples to prove the rationality and effectiveness of the new model.
