A Study On Supplier Selection At Company O

As globalization goes on and on,the commercial environment changes rapidly and the compitions become much and much severe.When the requirement diversifies the products need to change and update frequently.The competitions between the enterprises have become more intense,not just focus on cost,quality and technical ability but also goes into different industries.How to give an overview objectly on the supply chain level by setting up a good supplier estimation system and use good system to estimate suppliers,and build up good strategy relationship with supply chain to optimize resources become more and more focusing by enterprises.This thesis based on the research already done before,combine related research doucments and specialists coments with the OEM company O which I familiar with to evaluate the supplier management issue encountered in supply chain.To find out the estimation indicators and stardard to use on medium and small OEM companies.AHP was used in the slection of plastic part supplier and leather supplier-the critical parts supply in company O.The result showed that:(1)The set up of the supplier evaluation system can help to build good cooperation with supplier.(2)The supplier evaluation system with strategy thinking can help the operation of OEM company and give good direction reference.(3)The analysis on critical indicators can help OEM company to build up valuable evaluation solutions.Also can make the evaluation more complete and effient.(4)Besides traditional indicators such as cost,quality,service,deliveble and technical abilities,the new indicators which is society responsibilities and finance risk management are good references for the evaluation.In a word,this thesis was using supplier evaluation model to analyse the supplier situation in company O.And using AHP and critical indicators to analyse the evaluation system in company O.The target was to improve the supply chain management ability to make sure the company and survive and go further.
