Today,the development of enterprises is facing greater competition than ever before with the economic globalization and informationization.The competition of modern enterprises is,ultimately,the competition of people engaged in business activities and that of human resources.So,how to maximize the utility of human resources and develop the potential of employees has become the key of enterprise management.Performance management,as the most important part of enterprise management,is absolutely the central for human resources management,it is the important tool for the realization of strategy objectives and the important means for improving the level of management,and it also is the important way to motivate employees.Although most enterprises in our country have made some achievements in the practice of performance management,there are still many problems,which results in insufficient performance management.As a small and medium-sized enterprise which has been developing for 12 years,Keshen Stock Company still has a series of problems including imperfect performance management system,the design of performance indicators is not scientific,performance implementation disparity,improving the establishment of performance appraisal,performance improvement and using the results of performance appraisal properly.These problems above have a certein impact on the management and development of the company.In addition,performance management is equated with performance appraisal due to management level and cognitive errors.In this study,Literature review,questionnaires,and interviews were employed to conduct an in-depth investigation in Keshen Co.,Ltd.understanding the status quo of performance management,proposing its problems and analyzing the causes,and then using performance management theory to optimize the performance management,and finally the safeguard measures presented to strengthen the performance management.We hope that the performance management level of Keshen Stock Company will be improved by optimizing the performance management scheme and promoting the healthy development of Keshen.At the same time,it also hopes to bring the other domestic enterprises in the same type to think performance management,and become the references for the optimization of their performance management programs.This study focuses on six sections.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces backgrounds,significance,reviews home and abroad,methods,ideas,contents and innovations and deficiencies.The second part is the related theories and methods of performance management,including performance,performance management,the concept of corporate performance management,performance management system theory and common methods of performance management.The third part is the analysis of the current situation of performance management in Keshen Stock Company.On the premise of collecting first-hand information by means of questionnaire survey,interview and literature.We summarized the situation and described analyzes contents and process and effectiveness evaluation of the performance management.The fourth part is the analysis of the problems and causes of the performance management of Keshen Stock Company.On the basis of the previous theoretical study and the analysis of the present situation,the author summarized the problems existing in the implementation of the performance management of the company,and analyzed these problems and its root causes.The fifth section is the optimization of the performance management scheme of Keshen Stock Company.Based on the existing problems,and combined with the theory of performance management,and to improve the performance appraisal index system by using the balanced scorecard and the key performance indicators,and finally to optimize the process of performance management.The last section is to strengthen safeguard measures for the performance management,including organizational mechanism,culture,training,etc.
