In the age of knowledge-based economy,high-tech enterprises are more and more important to the development of country,and knowledge workers' turnover has greater impact on enterprise performance.How to maintain a reasonable employee turnover rate of knowledge workers and exert the positive influence of employee turnover is an important issue that needs further study in the field of management.Therefore,in this paper,the information technology enterprise,which is mainly composed of knowledge workers,is the research object.Based on the data of listed companies in the information technology industry,this paper studies the impact of employee turnover on enterprise performance and explores the impact of intellectual capital on the relationship between them.The research is divided into two phases.In the first phase,we put forward assumptions based on theoretical,introduces the measurement indicators of turnover and intellectual capital.Based on a great number of literature,this paper analyzes the main reasons that influence knowledge workers to leave,establishes a model of the relationship between knowledge worker's turnover and enterprise performance,the relationship between intellectual capital and enterprise performance,and a moderating effect model of how intellectual capital influences the relationship between employee turnover and enterprise performance.The second phase is mainly empirical research,first of all is to prove the hypothesis,including the relationship between employee turnover and enterprise performance,the relationship between intellectual capital and enterprise performance,and the moderating role of intellectual capital on the relationship between employee turnover and enterprise performance in information technology enterprises;secondly,we test the enterprise performance with ROE instead of ROA for robustness test;finally,we select the daily consumer goods industry as a control group to test the external validity of the conclusion of the article.This study uses EXCEL and SPSS statistical analysis software,the empirical analysis was carried out through descriptive statistical analysis,Person correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis.Through the above research,the main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)Employee turnover is related to enterprise performance,and in different industries,the relationship between employee turnover and enterprise performance will be different.In the information technology enterprise,employee turnover has significant driving effect on enterprise performance,this shows that the positive effect of employee turnover is greater than that of negative effect;in daily consumer goods industry,the relationship between employee turnover and corporate performance is a significant negative correlation,which indicating that the role of employee turnover in the traditional industry is still negative.(2)In different industries,the effect of intellectual capital on enterprise performance is significant positive correlation.Intellectual capital is playing an important role in improving the performance of the information technology industry or the daily consumer goods industry.Moreover,the role of human capital and structural capital in enterprise performance is increasingly surpassing that of physical capital.(3)The influence of intellectual capital on employee turnover and enterprise performance is different in specific industries because of specific industry characteristics.In the information technology enterprise,intellectual capital and its various parts have a positive regulating effect on the relationship between employee turnover and enterprise performance.In the daily consumer goods industry,because of the significant negative correlation between employee turnover and enterprise performance,intellectual capital plays a negative role in regulating the relationship between them.In other words,the higher the intellectual capital,the less significant the negative correlation between employee turnover and enterprise performance.
