According to the results of the analysis, the share of intermediate goods in the value of imports exceeds 60%.The commodity and geographical structures of exports and imports are not sufficiently diversified. The main partner countries of the Republic of Belarus in export and import are Russia and to different extent the EU countries. If in 2000 Belarus traded with 130 countries,at present Belarus maintains trade relations with more than 180 countries. Thus, the topic of foreign trade is relevant for the Republic of Belarus,as for the country interested in both exports and imports of goods and services. The relevance of the topic is that foreign trade plays an important role in the formation and development of the international economy and is one of the factors of sustainable economic growth, and the analysis of foreign trade indicators conducted in this work allows identifying those areas in which it is necessary to carry out timely adjustment. The main objective of the work was to reflect the structure and dynamics of foreign trade for 2007-2016 and to identify the factors affecting it.So we identified that most problems of foreign trade of Belarus since the beginning of 2000 and till now is the negative balance of trade of the country.High rates of economic growth for a long time(before the crisis of 2009)were accompanied by a fairly rapid increase in the ratio of the negative balance of foreign trade to GDP.In 2007 this indicator amounted to fall 9.8 percent;in 2008-11,2;in 2009 USD 11.8 percent;in 2016 this figure amounted to 0.1 percent. The imbalance is due to fact that Russia has continue to be the dominant in the trade and main trade partner of Belarus. In 2016,among the CIS member States, its share in total imports was 92.5 %;the share of exports was more than 74 %.It should be noted that there is a high concentration of imports on the 10 main trading partners, which account for 80 to 85% of the total imports for the period.Such trends indicate a low level of geographical diversification of commodity exports and imports, which determines the high level of risks while reducing exports to traditional partner countries and the displacement of Belarusian producers from their markets. It seems reasonable for the companies of the Republic of Belarus to develop new markets,as well as to increase the number of commodity items supplied to foreign markets, which will reduce the country's dependence on external influence.Belarus has to improve domestic policies and regulation to attract more industrial production for goods that has economic advantages especially in mineral products and foodstuff, beverage and tobacco products by seek new markets like china where tobacco consumption and population is high. The China new Silk Road can provide new venture for Belarus to integrate their international trading by attracting more investment to science and technology.
