Nowadays,sharing accommodation is increasingly welcomed and valued by tourists as well researchers.There have been researches focusing on the study of sharing accommodation business models,product status,and its' effects.There are not many studies on tourists experience of sharing accommodation.Therefore,it is necessary to study tourists experience of sharing accommodation.At the beginning of the study,the author put forward two main research questions centering on the theme of tourists experience of sharing accommodation.First,what is the dimension of the tourists experience of sharing accommodation? Second,what are the characteristics of tourists experience of sharing accommodation?Subsequently,based on the typicality of the research case,Airbnb,a well-known sharing accommodation platform,was selected as a case study.At the same time,based on the nature of research issues,the qualitative research and quantitative research methods were used in a comprehensive manner.Based on the collection of online texts data and interview data,the dimensions of the sharing accommodation experience for tourists were extracted using the grounded theory and the design volume was calculated accordingly.Through the questionnaire to obtain data,the author used factor analysis to analyze tourists experience of sharing accommodation and adjust it's dimensions.Simultaneously,descriptive statistical analysis,independent sample T-test and analysis of variance were also used to explore the characteristics of tourists experience of sharing accommodation.The following main conclusions were formed:In the aspect of tourists experience of sharing accommodation,this study finally constructed a conceptual model of the sharing accommodation experience for tourists.The model contains 4 experience dimensions(Modern Functional Experience,Aesthetically Pleasing Experience,Interpersonal Interaction Experience,Daily Life Experience),14indicators(Pre-defined Processes,Safety Issues,Geographic Location,Ancillary Facilities,Health Status,Service Provision,Natural Landscape,Arts and Culture,Social Phenomena,Host-guest Interaction,Guest-guest Interaction,Peer Interaction,Local Life,Home Perception).The modern functional experience is the foundation,the interpersonal interaction experience is the core,the aesthetic pleasing experience and the daily life experience are the important contents.The four are unified and constitute the overall content of the tourists sharing accommodation experience.As for the characteristics of tourists experience for sharing accommodation,this study further analyzes the demographic characteristics(gender,age,education level,occupation,and monthly income)and behavioral characteristics of tourists based on the exploration of the sharing accommodation experience dimensions of tourists(knowing channels and usage frequency of sharing accommodation platform,travel mode and destination selection preference),the impact on the sharing accommodation experience to form an understanding of the characteristics of travelers sharing accommodation experience,and found that:(1)The tourists experience of sharing accommodation consists of four factors: modern functional experience,aesthetic pleasant experience,interpersonal interaction experience and daily life experience.Among them,tourists have the highest perception of modern functional experience factors and the lowest perception of aesthetic pleasant experiences.(2)Gender has a significant impact on tourists' aesthetic and pleasant experience.Age,education level,and occupation and monthly income have no significant influence on the various factors of tourists experience of sharing accommodation.(3)It was learned that the channels and travel modes of the sharing accommodation platform had no significant impact on the tourists experience of sharing accommodation,while the usage frequency had a significant impact on the tourists' modern functional experience and aesthetic pleasant experience,and the destination selection preference had significant impact on aesthetic pleasant experience and daily life experience.Based on this,the study proposes relevant practical inspiration to optimize the development of sharing accommodation.
