Research On Social And Economic Effects Of Land-use Change In Hohhot

With the increasingly sharp contradiction between population and land,and the serious resource shortages,human pays more and more attention to the change and effect of the land utilization.Therefore,land-use change has become an important content in the current research field at present.Hohhot is the capital city of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,and at the same time,it is an important junction of Baotou,Erdos and Yulin.With its continuous development of social economy,land utilization in Hohhot is changing frequently.Because the demand for land is increasing day by day,especially the land for construction is expanding.So it helps us to know more about the relationship between the land-use change,the social and economic development through researching on the social and economic effects of land use change in Hohhot.It is also significant to coordinate the utilization of regional land resources,the development of social economy and the sustainable regional development.In this paper,it analyzes the connection between the dynamic change of land-use and the development and effect of social economy during 2001-2015 in Hohhot.The analysis is based on some relevant researches and the survey statistics of land-use and social economy during the period of the Five-Year Plan.It adopts the mathematical statistics,regression analysis,canonical correlation analysis,spatial analysis,comprehensive index method and other methods.Through researching,it comes to the following main conclusions:(1)Land utilization in Hohhot has changed great and swiftly.The farmland is reducing,especially cultivated land and pastureland.But construction land is increasing,especially the increasing of rural construction land and traffic land.The rural construction land was increased,about 0.82%annually during the period of the 10 th Five-Year Plan.And it had increased to1.26% during the 11 th Five-Year Plan,but it had reduced to 0.47% during the12 th Five-Year Plan.However,the rate of traffic land change has been increasing.The farmland was reduced to its maximum 0.25% annually during the period of 10 th Five-Year Plan but to 0.06% during the period of the 12 th Five-Year Plan.(2)There is a strong correlation between land-use change and the social and economic development in Hohhot.(1)During the period of 2001-2015,the economic output of unit land area in Hohhot is continuous increasing such as the gross regional product,industrial production,agricultural output value,and the local fiscal revenue and so on.The agricultural production increased slowly compared with the gross regional product and industrial production.(2)The amount construction and the GDP,and local fiscal revenue,cultivated land and construction land total GDP,the total construction land and the total amount of social consumer goods,and the level of urbanization,urban and rural construction land,transportation land for urban residents has obvious function of the coupling relationship between disposable incomes.(3)There is a correlation between land use structure and economic structure.The proportion of land for urban and rural construction and water conservancy and grassland has the largest influence on the second industry,in which the proportion of land for urban and rural construction,and water conservancy positively correlated with the proportion of secondary industry,but the proportion of grassland negatively correlated with the secondary industry.(3)The evaluation index system of land-use change in Hohhot is established.The effect of the value evaluation shows that:(1)The social and economic effects of land-use change in Hohhot has improved significantly during the period of 2001-2015.The social economic effect evaluation of land-use change has risen from 0.1334 in 2001 to 0.9003 in 2015 in the study period.(2)From the point of the economy planning,the social and economic effect of land-use change in Hohhot has risen to its maximum during the period of the 11 th Five-Year Plan.The effects came to second during the 12 th Five-Year Plan and reduced to its minimum during the period of the 10 th Five-Year Plan.(3)By analyzing the space differentiation,land utilization in Hollinger Country has risen to its largest scope and followed by Tumd Left Banner and Yuquan District in the nine counties in Hohhot.During the period of 10 th Five-Year Plan,the effect evaluation of the Hui nationality area has increased greater than other areas,and the change scope of Wuchuan County is the smallest.The evaluation of Hollinger Country increased greater than other counties,and Saihan District is the smallest in evaluation scope during the period of the 11 th Five-Year Plan.The range of Qingshuihe County evaluation is the largest and Hollinger Country the smallest during the 12 th Five-Year Plan.The thesis research is instructive for policy-making about land planning and utilization,management and economic development,and industrial structure adjustment and so on.
