Based on the “Internet plus” development model,community operation,as “a new form” of the service industry,has made rapid development in recent years.Community operation is built on a community-based basis,relying on online or offline community activities to share information and opportunities,and ultimately could facilitate the transaction by docking the needs of bilateral groups in the community.As a Chinese company re-growth link service platform,Redbud United(RU)Company started an exploration of the community business model from 2016.Specifically,by using the platform of RU member to connect the resource demand side to the resource provider,the information barriers between them were broken.By linking more resources,a variety of business cooperation were promoted.By doing this,RU could provide the entrepreneurs with support for their continued growth,and the company itself could make a profit by charging them.After this year of development,RU has won a great success.Based on the case of RU—a leading company in community operation industry,the author relies on the valuable work experience in the company and the in-depth understanding on its successful business experience,in order to investigate the goals,core elements,and building logics of RU's business model of community operation.The design for core links of its business model includes customer segmentation,partnership,channel access,value network,maintenance mechanism,customer relationship,revenue model,value proposition,and cost structure.Then,this study also descripts the safeguard system for implementing the business model of community operation.Specifically,the first chapter of the paper introduces the research background,and summed up the research issues and significance.The second chapter reviews the related research and latest developments of community operation and business model so as to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the characteristics of community operation business model.The third chapter analyzes internal and external environment of the RU.The internal environment includes the profile,status quo,and issues of the RU.The external environment includes the macro environment and the industry environment,such as the new entrants,the threat of substitutes,the bargaining power of the suppliers,and so on.Base on the above analysis and a questionnaire survey,this study summarizes the internal advantages and disadvantages of the company and the external opportunities and threats.Using SWOT analysis tools,strategic basis for the RU is been derived.The fourth chapter focuses on the specific objectives and core elements of how to perform the RU's community operation business model,along with the construction logic.The fifth chapter further analyzes the guarantee system for the implement of community operation business model.The sixth chapter summarizes and prospects the research of this study.By summarizing the RU's community operation business model design and successful practices,this study reveals the source of the core competitiveness of RU.At the same time,the conclusion of this study may provide certain reference meanings for other community operations companies. |
