Research On The Influence Of Patent Quality On The Export Sophistication

Under the guidance of the strategy of invigorating trade though science and technology,with the development of science and technology,China's commodity structure has gradually shifted to the export of technology intensive products.There is no doubt that technological innovation is an important way to promote the upgrading of the commodity structure and enhance the competitiveness of trade.As the carrier of the frontier technology,patent number has increased sharply under the incentive of patent innovation policy,but it exposes the problem of patent quality such as "patent bubble" and "garbage patent".The technical content,added value and brand difference of export commodities are closely related to the quality of the patent.So patent quality is the key to develop science and technology and upgrade the structure of export commodities.The export sophistication is mostly used to measure the export commodity structure,which shows that there is still a big gap between China and the developed countries.The problem of patent quality in our country may be a stumbling block to the upgrading of the commodity structure.So,this paper puts forward the influence of patent quality on export sophistication.On the basis of combing related concepts,evaluation indexes and influencing factors of patent quality and export sophistication,this paper analyses the status of patent quality and export sophistication of 28 manufacturing industries in China,and finds that the patent quantity of manufacturing industry in our country does not increase with the increase of the number of patents,and the export sophistication has steadily increased.Through On the basis of the qualitative analysis of the relationship between the patent quality and the export sophistication,the quantitative regression model is used to test the influence mechanism of the patent quality on the export sophistication.The results show that the quality of patents promotes the upgrading of the export sophistication,but the effect is weak.Finally,based on the successful case analysis of China's high speed rail export,this paper puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions for the government and enterprises to jointly exploit the international technical product market and build effective patent quality to promote the optimization and upgrading of export commodity structure.
