Under the background of greater threat to the economic development of Vietnam,tourism has become the focus of economic recovery.Hanoi,as the capital of Vietnam,has rich historical and cultural tourism resources.Ancient Street is the center of Hanoi,a testimony and embodiment of Hanoi's long history and cultural development.It is also one of the cultural representations of the Vietnamese people and the motherland.If Hanoi is the heart of Vietnam,the ancient street is the heart of the capital.In the contemporary society with rapid economic development,tourism development of ancient streets not only helps to promote the development of social economy in Hanoi,but also contributes to the inheritance of traditional culture and the protection of historical monuments.This paper takes the ancient streets of Hanoi as the research object,through literature review,field investigation,interview method and questionnaire survey method,analyzes the characteristics of tourism resources,the status quo of tourism development,the main problems existing in the ancient streets of Hanoi,and the source markets;then,The SWOT analysis of the tourism development of ancient streets in Hanoi was carried out from a macro perspective.Finally,in response to the development status and existing problems of Hanoi ancient streets,countermeasures and suggestions were proposed in order to promote the faster and better development of ancient street tourism in Hanoi.This paper can also provide reference and reference for tourism development in other regions of Vietnam.The main research contents and results are as follows:1.Defined concepts such as traditional culture and traditional architecture,elaborated the historical evolution,research status and significance of ancient streets in Hanoi.2.Analyze and evaluate natural tourism resources and humanistic tourism resources in Hanoi Ancient Street,and point out the historical and cultural values,economic value,aesthetic value,and tourism development value of ancient streets in Hanoi.3.Through on-the-spot investigation and analysis,the current status of the preservation of buildings,landscapes and streets in Hanoi's ancient streets was analyzed.It was found that the buildings in Hanoi's ancient streets were seriously damaged,some of the houses had become dangerous buildings,and there were many illegal buildings and the streets were not spacious enough;The ancient street in Hanoi has a rich variety of foods and distinctive features,but some of the prices are high;shopping and entertainment venues in Hanoi Old Street have problems of small scale,small quantity,single form of entertainment,incomplete equipment and more counterfeit goods;The tour service of the street is mainly guided by the tour guides of the travel agencies.The local tour guides of the Old Street are relatively lacking.In the current tourism development,the participation of local communities and residents is not high,and the interests are not fully guaranteed.4.SWOT analysis of tourism development in Hanoi from a macro-strategy has revealed that it has obvious regional advantages,favorable climatic conditions,rich tourism resources,and high reputation.However,it also has low local community involvement,backward infrastructure,and poor awareness of environmental protection.,lack of professional talents and other disadvantages;tourism development in Hanoi's ancient streets has been highly valued by the Hanoi government,providing strong policy support,and increasing the exchanges of ASEAN countries at random,providing it with a sufficient source of tourists;but at the same time,Due to its late tourism development,it also faces challenges such as non-standard policy management and market mechanisms,and fierce competition.5.The foreign tourist market in Hanoi Old Street mainly comes from China and Southeast Asia,followed by other regions in Asia other than China and Southeast Asia,Europe,the Americas,etc.;domestic market,Hanoi residents and surrounding areas,Ho Chi Minh City,and Huehua..The main purpose of tourists is tourism,sightseeing and leisure.Followed by visiting relatives and friends,business,etc.;the most interesting products are the ancient buildings and streets,food and culture,followed by shopping and entertainment.6.Put forward the SWOT strategy for tourism development in Hanoi Old Street and put forward specific measures for the development of its products and projects:First,a sound tourism policy and regulatory system is a powerful guarantee for the tourism development of ancient streets in Hanoi.At the same time,it is necessary to attach importance to the tourist insurance system,strengthen the publicity and service for tourist safety,and strengthen the training of tour guides and their staff.Regulate the prices of tourism products and improve the quality and service quality of employees in the tourism industry.In terms of marketing,it will enrich tourism products and merchandise categories,regulate prices,and do a good job in promoting sales methods and strategies to increase targeted publicity.In the development of tourism,we must take the protection of ancient architectural relics as a precondition,pay attention to the inheritance and development of traditional culture,pay attention to the protection of the ecological environment,cultivate professional talents,raise funds from the outside and inside,improve the management capacity and level of scenic spots,and strengthen Infrastructure construction,especially traffic patency.
