Research On Social Responsibility Of City Commercial Banks In China

The social responsibility of commercial banks is the obligation of commercial banks tomaintain and promote the social interests in the process of pursuing the maximization of corporate interests.This paper takes Bank of Dalian as the case,and analyzes the related problems of the social responsibility performance of Da Lian bank based on the literature research and actual investigation.With the development of Chinese economy and society,the commercial banks should not only be responsible for the profits of shareholders,but also assume and fulfill the corresponding social responsibilities.The fulfillment of social responsibility of commercial banks not only helps the bank to improve the social image,but also helps to promote the customers' viscosity and employees' loyalty.It is in this context that the paper studies the social responsibility performance of Dalian bank.This paper firstly clarifies the concept of bank responsibility and analyzes the social responsibility of commercial Banks.Then the paper analyzes the status of social responsibility performance of Dalian bank.According to the problems existing in the social responsibility performance of Dalian bank,the performance of social responsibility performance of Dalian bank is analyzed empirically.Finally,relevant policy and suggestions are put forward.The main research contents of this paper include:(1)Through the literature research of the social responsibility of commercial banks,the social responsibility of commercial banks can be divided into to the shareholders,customers,employees,government and society of social responsibility.According to these aspects,social responsibility research on the Bank of Dalian is carried out in this paper.(2)The present situation and problems of social responsibility performance of Dalian bank are analyzed.It can be found that Dalian bank has established a good social responsibility performance system for shareholders,customers,employees,government and the public at present.However,as for the employees' social responsibility,employees' organizational culture is not formed,the employees often work overtime,and their career planning development is not sound.Also,there are prominent problems in the performance of social responsibility of customers,which mainly manifested in the weak innovation ability and low service quality.In terms of social responsibility performance of shareholders,theprotection of minority shareholders' rights and interests are not sound enough.Therefore,the social responsibility performance of Dalian bank needs to be further improved.(3)The performance of social responsibility performance of Dalian bank shareholders,customers and employees are evaluated.And the relevant policy and suggestions are put forward through evaluation index of construction and evaluation method.The commercial banks should strengthen social responsibility consciousness,self-discipline,and improve the customer service,the protection of rights and interests of small shareholders,and enhance the product innovation,and fulfill social responsibility to the public for the client.
