As one of the most basic elements of social economy in China,“labor relations” has gained growing concerns from both enterprises and employees.Enterprise labor relations management is not only very important for the development of enterprise and economy,but also crucial for social harmony.As for the public transportation industry,which is highly relevant to the development of a city and the well-being of the people,to establish stable and harmonious labor relations,as well as settle and prevent various group labor disputes,so as to help all public bus companies to achieve healthy and long-term development,is even more important and urgent at present.This thesis chooses A Bus Company,which is a private public bus company in Changsha,capital of Hunan province,Central South China,as the object of study.Taking the background,significance,methods and contents of the research into consideration,the author of the thesis makes a reference to the research results both at home and abroad,gives an introduction to relevant concepts and theories,and makes a discussion about the characteristics that are special for the public bus companies and their employees.Based on what are mentioned above,the author finishes the research by the comprehensive use of methods such as on-the-spot investigation,interviews and questionnaire survey,etc.With careful analyses,the author finds out that A Bus Company is now facing the following problems in the process of its labor relations management.For instance,the signing of labor contract does not cover all of its employees.Working safety and environment are yet to be promoted.Employee stress management is missing and neglected in the company.Salaries and benefits need to be improved.The Party organization and trade union of the company fail to play their parts in the labor relations management.Training and career planning need further improvements.The dimission rate is too high.There is no mechanism for settling labor disputes in the company.With further research and analyses,the author points out in the thesis that all these problems are caused because that the management layer paid insufficient attention to labor relations management,the salary for the whole public bus industry is unattractive,the enterprise culture needs to be improved,and supports from the government are limited.In the thesis,finally,the author puts forward with her ideas and suggestions for A Bus Company to improve its labor relations management with consideration of both the practical problems that the company is confronted with and the application of various theories of labor relations management.Further more,in order to improve enterprise labor relations management of the whole public bus industry,the thesis also offers some supporting measures and advice to the government.The thesis is aiming at helping A Bus Company to build more harmonious labor relations,and thus offers other public bus companies a good reference to make their labor relations management more effective.
