A new-style leadership which takes humor as the basic form of expression is becoming a hit topic.But the empirical researches are still in the prototype stage in domestic or abroad.The goal of this study was to explore the content structure of humorous leadership under the background of Chinese culture.Our research also aimed at to enrich the conception of humorous leadership,At the same time,we explored and verified the applicability of humorous leadership theory in the context of China.And then,we examined the mechanism of humor leadership on innovation performance.We have analyzed and summarized the relevant literature both in China and abroad,and used the methods of questionnaire and deep interview.Firstly,this study adopted literature analysis,open questionnaire and deep interview to explore the content structure of humorous leadership.Secondly,we used exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis to produce a humorous leadership scale.Thirdly,the study used T test,variance analysis and multiple correspondence analysis to analyze demographic variables of humorous leadership.Finally,regression analysis and SOB were adopted to explore the mechanism of humorous leadership.The results of this study are as following:(1)The content structure of humorous leadership consists of four factors which are affiliative humor,self-enhancing humor,aggressive humor and self-defeating humor.(2)Humorous leadership and its dimension exist significant difference in the demographic characteristics,such as sex,age,and the period of working together.(3)Affiliative humor and self-enhancing humor have a significant positive impact on innovative performance.In addition,self-defeating humor have a significant negative impact on humorous leadership.(4)Identification with leader partially mediates the relationship between humorous leadership and innovative performance.And workplace loneliness significantly moderates the relationship between humorous leadership and identification with leader.
