Nobel Laureate in Economics,professor of Economics of Columbia University,asserted that China's urbanization would be one of the two major events in the development process of human society in the 21 st century.By the end of 2017,the urbanization rate of China is 58.52% that China is still at the preliminary stage with huge development potential.With the acceleration process of urbanization in China,especially after the implement of urbanization and other national strategy proposed in the18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,it's promoting the ‘economic restructuring' oriented urbanism development,gradually leading economical development from points to areas with regional cooperation.Aggregation effects of urbanization,transformation of urban space brought by intensive use of land,urban renewal and new town development under center planning,facilitates both theoretical and practical developments of city complex which is featured by concentrate and integrated mix-use.The architectural form of city complex comes from the west.The city complex was gradually evolved from the concept of building complex.Our domestic theoretical research and the practice on city complex started comparatively late from low level behind other international first-class countries.The exploration of healthy development and dynamic relationship between urbanization and city complex have both significantly practical and theoretically meaningful to improve the regional urbanization,economic development level and sustainable development of city complex.The thesis systematically summarizes the concepts and relevant theories of city complex,enriches and expands the connotation of city complex,summarizes its academic roots and functional features and business models,analyzes the dynamic relationship between urbanization and city complex,as well as problems and risks that Chinese city complex may encounter during the development process by referencing the domestic and oversea benchmarks.Finally,by studying the specific case of CITIC financial center project from not only the perspective of urbanization but also based on the respective standpoint of government's macro control a,it proposed the advice on the development of city complex.We hope this research could push the development of city complex theories forward as well as the actual practice of similar city complex.government's macro control a,it proposed the advice on the development of city complex.We hope this research could push the development of city complex theories forward as well as the actual practice of similar city complex.
