The German Reich United Germany in 1871,which was not only the result of Prussia's three dynasty wars, but also established in the era of German agricultural revolution and industrial revolution.Modernization-the great success of industrialization pushed Germany into the ranks of modern nations. The turn of time also led to a series of major changes in the basic elements of the German Reich's social system, including population. This paper studies the phenomenon of rural labor force transfer, which is one aspect of the population problem in the German Reich period.Germany's rural labor force with the economic structure of the transfer, improved transport, living standards, increasing mobility.Simultaneous companion With the economic activities of rural labor force leading to the reorganization and migration of the German Reich society, the rural and urban areas of the German Reich were pushed forward to the modern industrial society. This paper mainly examines the background, process and characteristics of rural labor transfer in the German Reic h from 1871 to 1914 and its social and economic effects. As a result of the completion of the German agricultural revolution and the rapid development of industrialization and urbanization, the rural labor force under the tremendous push of rural society and the pull of urban social and economic development took place from rural areas to urban areas. The transfer of the agricultural sector to the industrial sector. In this period, the rural labor force changed in the geographical space, but also in the social space, such as occupation, social status and so on.The transfer of Rural Labor Force in the German Reich period Characteristics:first of all,the proportion of men in rural labor migration is larger, because of the unbalanced structure of gender demand in industrial cities.Second, single population transfers are more common than complete families. Finally, most of the rural labor force transfer to short distance. In the early 19th century, there were a large number of surplus labor in western Germany. In the eastern region, with the continuous growth of most of the farming land, the local labor force was absorbed by agricultural farming.Since 1860,industry has grown in the western and central regions, meaning that more rural workers can find jobs in these areas, while agriculture in the east Progress in production has unleashed a great deal of labour. The western industrial areas absorbed rural labor from the east and south, resulting in a sharp rise in the proportion of migrant workers throughout Germany. In 1910,Germany basically completed urbanization, and the pace of rural labor transfer began to slow down. The outbreak of World War ? disrupted the normal process of rural labor transfer, which was basically completed when the War broke out in 1914.The phenomenon of labor force transfer during the German Reich period was the climax of the transfer of rural labor force to non-agricultural industries and cities in Germany. The mode and direction of agricultural labor force transfer was scattered and there was no excessive concentration of large cities. All these are of great significance to the rationality of German urban layout, the relative balanced development of provincial economy in the process of urbanization. The traces of social and economic development in the German Reich period are still visible, which has made a deep imprint on the economic and social development of Germany today.
