Tea has played an important role in China's trade commodities since ancient times. It not only has a long history of cultural significance, but it is also an indispensable economic crop in China's foreign trade. It is benefit for cultural and economy development. To this day,China,as the world's largest country for tea production and trade, has never wavered its position.According to relevant data, there are 51 countries in the world that produce tea currently, and one-third of the world's tea output is from China. It can be said that China's tea has an important position in the world and has become a tradition with comparative advantages in China.Large export products have always played an important role in the export of agricultural products in China. As early as the end of the 16 th century, tea came to Europe from China. In 1993,the EU was officially established, bringing 28 countries together. The population of the country reached about 36% of the total population of China. In 2016,the EU imported 320,000 tons of tea from the world, accounting for 6% of the world's tea production, and created a value of approximately US$2.8 billion in revenue. The EU has become an important tea market. However, since the 21 st century, the tea trade in the international market has undergone earth-shaking changes, and the gap between the supply and demand of tea has continuously expanded. That is,the market supply exceeds the market demand, and the tea trade has become increasingly fierce in the international market. The EU and other developed countries have introduced increasingly stringent trade restrictions such as green trade barriers, which pose new challenges to the export status of China's tea trade. Therefore, research on the export of Chinese tea to the EU has become a key point in China's tea export trade.Through the analysis of the fluctuation factors of China's tea export trade,it is necessary to find the next growth point for China's tea exports, and it is important to increase China's tea international competition and export trade. The study has important research significance and practical value. This article is composed of five chapters: The first chapter is the introduction.Starting from the research background and significance of the topic selection, this paper classifies the domestic and foreign literature that are read reasonably and reviews the literature. Finally,it proposes possible innovations and shortcomings of this article. The second chapter briefly describes the development of trade between the world and China's tea,and analyzes the changing trend of China's tea exports to the EU from 2002 to 2016,and understands the main characteristics of the world's tea production and marketing in China; The third chapter uses the relevant trade data in the FAO database to analyze the international competition of tea exports by the two indicators of PRIM and RCA.Through the calculation of the results,we have obtained the strengths and weaknesses of tea exports from various countries. The fourth chapter categorizes the relevant data by quoting a constant market share model. It divides the period from 2002 to 2016 to four stages of 2005,2009,and 2013.It describes the fluctuation of the growth factor of the Chinese tea export to the EU,which is from three aspects(structure effects, competition effects, and second-order effects)analyze China's tea exports to the EU's ten major countries. The fifth chapter of the article is based on previous research, from the four levels:the government, enterprises, tea industry associations and related laws and regulations.Proposed appropriate solutions in order to guide the practice.
