| With the deepening of Chinese opening to the outside world,the scale of foreign direct investment in service industry and the import of service trade are gradually expanding,and both of them show a trend of accelerated development.However,the development level of Chinese service trade still lags behind that of developed countries.At present,Chinese imports of service trade are mainly concentrated in the imports of traditional service trade such as transportation and tourism.The quality of service trade import needs to be improved.Therefore,analyzing the relationship between FDI inflow in service industry and service trade import has certain value and significance for optimizing the use of foreign investment in service industry and improving the quality of service trade import.Firstly,the thesis defines and classifies the related concepts of service industry and service trade,and divides the service industry into traditional service industry and modern service industry.At the same time,the thesis introduces the representational theory of FDI in service industry,and illustrates the applicability of the theory of goods trade to service trade.The influence mechanism between FDI in service industry and service trade import is analyzed based on trade substitution theory and trade complementarity theory.It is initially concluded that there is a certain correlation between FDI in service industry and service trade import.Secondly,the thesis analyzes the current situation of Chinese FDI in service industry from the overall scale,industry structure,and regional distribution.Then,the current situation of service trade import is analyzed from the overall scale and the internal structure.The thesis builds an econometric model by using relevant data from 1999 to 2016.The cointegration analysis is conducted on the overall scale between FDI in service industry and service trade import.Then,the thesis analyzes the relationship in different industries between FDI in service industry and service trade import.This is a deeper analysis of the relationship between them.It is concluded that the inflow of FDI in service industry has a significant positive effect on the service trade import,which is a facilitating effect.Besides,FDI flowing into traditional service industry and FDI flowing into modern service industry have a significant effect in promoting their corresponding service trade import.Finally,the thesis puts forward two revelations that strengthen the inflow of FDI in modern service industry to improve the quality of service trade import and control the inflow of FDI in traditional service industry properly to relief the service trade deficit. |
