Study On Border Trade In Dongxing City Of Guangxi

Border trade is a special form of trade which cannot be replaced by China's foreign trade and international trade,and it is produced by the requirement of the international economic globalization and the trend of regionalization.Located in the China-Vietnam border area,Dongxing city is residence of the only Marine ethnic group—Jing's nationality in China.It is also a port of border trade,export processing base and international tourist city,as well as a typical border city along the coast and the river.Studying the border trade of Dongxing city,it benefits to strengthen the nation,vitalize border areas,improve the living standards of border people and enhance good relations of neighborhood.It is also meaningful to build a harmonious frontier and realize the long-term goal of China's regional economy coordinated development.In this paper,based on some theories of border trade,the main research topic is in relation to current situation of Dongxing's border trade,the correlation between border trade and economic growth,the development trend of border trade and taking corresponding countermeasures.Firstly,its evolution is expounded,the main problems and the causes are analyzed,its trend is changed and its advantages and disadvantages are studied.Then,we took the total amount of border trade and GDP of Dongxing city(from 2000 to 2016 year)as the research data,carried empirical analysis on the correlation of border trade and economic growth,and even analyzed the development trend of Dongxing city's border trade.This paper is predicted that the border trade will generally rise,smooth and decline,and even showed a trend of the development of the "fluctuation" curve.It also can be concluded that the current border trade is a period of slow growth or steady development,the general trade has an alternative trend.Finally,through the analysis of the above,the author make the following suggestions: to optimize the border tradestructure,layout new economic growth point,promote the transformation from the border trade to the comprehensive border trade and economic cooperation,innovative the border cooperation(such as building a border economic cooperation zone)and so on.We will further improve our understanding of border trade,so as to promote the development of border trade with a new historical height and achieve the goal of enriching people in border areas.
