| With the rapid development of science and technology, the process of urbanization in China is deepening, more and more people are entering the city to live, and the city has become the main place for the social and economic activities of human beings. However, with the increasing of urban population, the problems of people's livelihood, such as employment, travel, environment and ecology, are becoming more and more serious, which hinders the improvement of the living quality of the residents.Building a moderately prosperous society requires the regional development to be QOL-oriented and the government to take protecting and improving people's quality of life as the starting point and ending point. The ultimate goal of social development is the development of ‘people'.Scientific development concept promotes ‘people-oriented'.Focusing on the subjective feelings of people is not only the requirement of building a moderately prosperous society but also the inevitable requirement of realizing the Chinese dream.Zhengzhou is located in the Central Plains and is an important hub connecting China to the east and connecting the south to the north. The construction of a livable city in Zhengzhou not only draws lessons from the experience of urban development in the eastern coastal areas, but also plays an important role in guiding the development and construction of a harmonious and livable city in the inland regions of the central and western regions of China. In recent years, the economy of Zhengzhou has developed rapidly, but the level of regional economic development is not balanced, and there is a certain gap in the quality of life of residents. This article starts from the related theory and practice of geography, and based on the actual needs of the development of Zhengzhou citizen's livelihood, evaluates and analyzes the status of residents' life satisfaction. We further proposed some suggestions for policy consideration with a view to provide useful reference to promote the residents' quality of life and build a livable city in Zhengzhou.Firstly, this paper first introduces the research background and significance, combed the relevant concepts and theoretical basis of residents' quality of life, defined the concept of quality of life, and summarized the existing research.Secondly, this paper introduces the research ideas, methods and technical routes. Finally, the index system of residents' life satisfaction and questionnaire design is constructed. We are from different dimensions to evaluate and analyse the quality of life of the residents in Zhengzhou and use GIS to visualize the spatial distribution of the residents' life quality.Based on this,we use Stata software to build a regression analysis model to explore the impact of different social and economic attributes on the quality of life. Finally, the corresponding livable city planning and construction strategy was put forward according to the research results. The main results of the study are as follows:(1)The overall quality of life of residents in Zhengzhou has not yet reached the general level. The eight main indicators of the quality of life are arranged in order: Health Perception,Humanistic Environment Comfort,Urban Safety and Security,Life Satisfaction,Job Satisfaction,Medical Satisfaction,Traffic Convenience,Environmental Health.Among the secondary indicators of quality of life assessment, such as housing prices, commodity price, haze pollution, waste pollution, parking convenience, medical expenses and food safety, are the area where the residents are more concerned but have poor satisfaction.(2)There are little difference in the overall evaluation of the administrative districts, the scores of residents' quality of life are arranged in order: Zhengdong New District,Guancheng District,Erqi District,Jinshui District,Gaoxin District,Jingkai District,Zhongyuan District,Huiji District. From the perspective of spatial distribution, areas with higher scores of quality of life are mainly distributed within a circle and beyond the third ring, and the scores of the areas between the two have lower scores in their quality of life.(3)There is a certain difference between the spatial distribution of the satisfaction of each level index and the spatial distribution of the overall evaluation. The overall distribution of environmental health and convenient transportation shows a spatial distribution pattern of “low middle and high perimeter”.The medical satisfaction shows a spatial distribution pattern of "East High and Low West".The spatial distribution of job satisfaction, urban safety and security, and health perception scores has no obvious pattern, but there are significant differences among streets. The satisfaction of life presents a spatial distribution pattern of “middle height and low circumference”.The comfort of humanistic environment has a spatial distribution pattern of “lower in the west and high in the east, lower in the south, and higher in the north”.(4)The construction of a perfect living facility does not necessarily correspond to a higher quality of life, the spatial distribution of life service facilities in Zhengzhou shows a high level of development around the middle and low levels features in brim area, which are mainly concentrated in the third ring road.(5)There are different effects of individual social economic attributes on the dimensions of quality of life, such as gender, age, education, occupation, income and so on.However, there is little impact between the family structure, household registration, marriage and the quality of life of residents. |
