With the rise of western trade protectionism,the "One Belt and One Road"initiative has highlighted its extraordinary significance.In-depth study of China's trade status and trade efficiency with countries along the "Belt and Road" initiative,exploring whether the "One Belt and One Road" strategy can effectively enhance China's import and export efficiency,and promote China's economic and trade exchanges with countries along the "One Belt and One Road".Cooperation,continuous expansion of China's influence,and better response to current Western trade protectionism are of great significance.First of all,this paper adopts the data from 62 countries along the "Belt and Road"for the period from 2007 to 2016,and systematically analyzes the status of China's total trade volume and trade structure along the "One Belt and One Road" countries.In recent years,China's trade exchanges with countries along the "One Belt and One Road" have continued to deepen.After 2015,due to factors such as the slowdown in the global economy,the decline in the prices of international commodities,and the sluggish global trade,China's trade volume with countries along the route has declined slightly.In 2017,as the construction of the "Belt and Road" entered a new stage of comprehensive and pragmatic cooperation,China's imports and exports to the region along the route grew rapidly.From a regional perspective,the Southeast Asia region along the "One Belt and One Road" and the West Asia and North Africa region(of which North Africa only involves Egypt)is the main region for trade cooperation with China,of which Southeast Asia is China's largest source of imports and the largest export in the region along the route.destination.From the point of view of the structure of imported goods,the structure of imported commodities from all regions along the country has obvious regional characteristics and is basically the same as that of exporting countries along the route;from the perspective of export commodity structure,China's export commodities are more diverse and influenced by different countries' different demand structures.There is a slight difference.Since China is a big manufacturing country,exports are mainly based on manufactured goods and mechanical transportation equipment.Secondly,the paper uses the time-varying stochastic frontier gravity model to measure the import and export efficiency of China and countries along the "One Belt and One Road" and analyzes the influence of the related indicator variables of the"One Belt and One Road" strategic five-way policy on trade efficiency.The study found that the efficiency of imports and exports in China and the countries along the route are at a relatively low level,but the export efficiency is generally better than the import efficiency.Judging from the trend in time,the efficiency of imports and exports in China and along the region has been steadily rising,but there is still much room for improvement.From a regional point of view,China's import and export efficiency in the Southeast Asia region is relatively high,but its import and export efficiency in Eastern Europe and South Asia is relatively low,indicating that China has great potential for trade in these two regions.Judging from the natural factors affecting trade efficiency,the total GDP of the countries along the line and China has a significant role in promoting the import and export trade between China and the countries along the route,while the population,the distance between the two countries,and the landlocked countries have obstacles.From the perspective of factors affecting trade inefficiency,related policies such as free trade agreements,sound infrastructure,the Asian Investment Bank,local currency swap agreements,and sister city construction can promote economic and trade exchanges between China and the countries along the route.Tariffs and import/export turnover times are obstacles to trade efficiency.Finally,according to the research conclusions of this article,relevant policy recommendations are put forward.China needs to speed up the optimization of the structure of import and export commodities.As a result of the "national's adjustment,it will gradually open markets in South Asia,Central Asia,and Eastern Europe;and continuously improve the economic development level in China and countries along the route.Steadily promote the implementation of the "five links" policy,promote economic development and cooperation between China and the countries along the route,promote the building of a more open and inclusive "Belt and Road" system,and actively guide the world's major countries to participate in the "One Belt and One Road" initiative and promote them from The spectators of the "Belt and Road"initiative have turned into participants and beneficiaries,effectively eliminating the external resistance of the "Belt and Road" initiative.
