This project assessing the impact of project manager's soft and hard skills on project success in the non-construction industry in Cameroon.The main objective of this study is to assess the impact of project manager's soft and hard skills on project success.This thesis chooses 5 soft skills(leadership skills,communication skills,conflict management skills,motivation skills and negotiation skills)and 4 hard skills(work breakdown ability,risk management,budgeting and scheduling skills and project chartering skills).With regards to project success,project success was assessed on the basis on time,cost and quality.This thesis used a total of 20 non-construction companies in Cameroon as our case study.The study used primary method of data collected.Data was collected with the used of research questionnaires.This research covered the current year(2018).After the data collection,this thesis adopts a quantitative method of data analysis which included the regression analysis,graphical analysis and Descriptive statistics.The thesis equally conducted some significance test such as the Probability value test(P-value).The findings this studies were:there exist a strong positive relationship between the independent variables(project manager's soft and hard skills)and the dependent variable(project success).Meanwhile,in terms of level of significance,some soft skills such as project manager's leadership skills(LS),communication skills(CO)and negotiation skills(NO)significantly affect project success.Meanwhile for hard skills,project manager's Risk management skills(RM),budgeting&scheduling skills(B&S)and project chartering skills(PC),positively and significantly affects project success base on time,cost and quality,evidence of this is seen in their probability values.The study therefore recommends that project managers should continuous acquire more of the above mentioned soft and hard skills so as to guarantee quality project success.
