Research On Relationship Between Family Background And University Students' Entrepreneurial Intention

Entrepreneurship among university students not only contributes to the realization of personal accomplishment,the acquisition of family investment income,but also benefits to the transformation of social and economic development and the construction of the harmonious society.Intention is an objective index to predict the behavior of entrepreneurial behavior.Behind the entrepreneurial behavior is entrepreneurial intention,university students' entrepreneurial intention is the prerequisite if the eventually become entrepreneurs.There are so many factors that can affect entrepreneurial intention,a recently study shows that nearly 70% of the interviewees believe university students' entrepreneurial intention affected the most by families.Thus,this study investigates the relationship between family background and university students' entrepreneurial intention.And then we can finally improve potential university students' entrepreneurial intentions by diminishing the bad effects from family background.In this paper,280 undergraduates of 4 universities in Wuhan city are the research objects.This paper is studied from the perspective of social family background.It investigates the relationship between family background and students' unconditional entrepreneurial intention as well as condition entrepreneurial intention.Besides,family background is divided into three dimensions: education,occupation and income.This study has collected data via questionnaires and it organizes and analyzes data through SPSS software.The study has completed the theoretical hypothesis and then tested the hypothesis.This research assumes that parents' education level has significant positive correlation with university students' unconditional entrepreneurial intention and condition entrepreneurial intention;the ranking of parents' occupation has significant positive correlation with university students' unconditional entrepreneurial intention;the level of family annual income has significant positive correlation with university students' unconditional entrepreneurial intention,but it does not affect university students' conditional entrepreneurial intention.This article argues that universities can add more entrepreneurial education courses,the government can improve the university students' entrepreneurial market mechanism and increase efforts to support university students' venture.By doing that,the bad effects from less education,low-level occupation and low level of household income can be made up.Thereby improving university students' entrepreneurial intention.In this survey,we do not investigate the mechanism between family background and university students' entrepreneurial intenion,which needs to be further studied in the future.
