In recent years,with some strategic goals put forward by the country such as "speed boost and fee reduction","broadband network is a national strategic public infrastructure",the broadband network belong to major domestic operators develop quickly.At the same time,the IP-based of voice service is growth,and streaming media services be extensively spread.These increasing new demands have put forward higher requirements on all aspects of the IP metropolitan area network,which are difficult to meet with the existing network environment and structure.A certain city's Unicom company in order to actively practice Unicom group company innovation,coordination,green,open,sharing "five new" development philosophy,and constantly develop innovative thinking,aim to make both the "customer perception" and"network efficiency" double ascension,to verify the IP metropolitan area network maintenance quality.To achieve the goal of business diversification,network hierarchy,access differentiation,the company going to comprehensive carding on the IP metropolitan area network optimization design and make a precise and retrofit.This thesis mainly discusses and studies with the optimization of IP metropolitan area network for a certain area Unicom company.First,this thesis analyzes and introduces the structure of the current network and the existing services.The focus is on the current situation of YH81 bureau,which carries a huge number of users,and then introduces and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the development trend of various networking topologies and how difficulty to achieve it.After that,combined with the existing-problem of a certain area Unicom metropolitan area network,this thesis proposed the most suitable data capacity distribution optimization scheme.The optimization scheme including the simplified of topology structure,the use of BNG networking,the introduction of a new user verification mechanism by using the LOOPBACK interface,the balancing of equipment load,the increase of control layer equipment double backup and other useful specific schemes.This thesis also involved the possible of future development direction of IP metropolitan area network technology verification test and deployment,including virtual BNG technology testing and IPv6 connectivity testing over an IP metropolitan area network.At the last part of this thesis,it tracks and tests various parameters after the completion of optimization,such as maintenance cost reduction,cutover time reduction,equipment load balancing,relay link alarm times,optical line terminal equipment unservice times,average broadband speed test and so on.Compared with the data before optimization,it is verified that the optimization scheme of IP metropolitan area network for a certain area Unicom company has been achieved the purpose of improving network efficiency and make user perception better.
