Research On The Project Of The Fuzhou Telecom Broadband Metropolitan Area Network Optimization And Capacity Expansion

As the network bearer for city informationization,the broadband IP metropolitan area network is the major battlefield for information to push forword indutrialization. History provides the IP metropolitan area network with great developing opportunity as well as huge challenge .There are various technologies and solutions for IP metropalitan area network development. While the equipment manufactures bring out different solutions with their own technical features ,the service provides also adopts different technologies and solutions according to the network infrastructure and the competition situation.At this stage, furthering the engineering construction of the network in 2005, putting into more effort into the construction and optimization of its Broadband Metropolitan Area Network, Fuzhou Telecom has been endeavor to overcome its shortcomings in network performance and function, to get rid of potential malfunction and to achieve the smooth connection and communication between its customers. For this aim, Fuzhou Telecom gradually implemented its measures to adjust the structure of the network, to expand the capacity of the equipment, to optimize the performance of the routes, and to achieve the integration of Qos, technique and equipments so as to make sure that Broadband Metropolitan Area Network could not only provide traditional Internet service, but also become a platform which could offer various services such as the Qos video services, broadcast services, two-level or three-level VPN.To begin with, the demand of Fuzhou Telecom broadband operation and the problems of present network were introduced as the background information for the optimization and expansion of Broadband IP Metropolitan Area Network. In the second chapter, basic techniques and development trend of broadband metropolitan area network have been introduced while several network schemes analyzed and contrasted. The key point of the third chapter is to comprehensively introduce the optimization and expansion of Fuzhou broadband metropolitan area network from the angel of the engineering construction.In the paper, firstly, the current situation of Fuzhou telecom is introduced and traffic volume of Fuzhou telecom broadband in the coming 2 years analyzed. Then in line with the target network structure of broadband metropolitan area network, the plan and design of network optimization and expansion has been discussed from the perspectives of its core layer, consolidation layer and service access layer. In the 4th chapter, I analyzed the implication of the network techniques after optimizing the network. In this chapter, the keys including IP address allocation, identity verification, VLAN plan have been pointed out and operational solutions been laid out in accordance with the market demand. The paper finally prospects the technology and service developing trend of Fuzhou Telecom broadband IP network and then put forward some personal thoughts.
