Research On The Communication Strategies Of Foreign Intellectuals' Participation In Rural Construction

Since the new millennium,in the face of the impact of globalization,industrialization and urbanization on rural society,the contemporary intellectuals who undertook the spirit of social responsibility of the pioneers of rural construction in the period of the Republic of China were carrying out different types of rural construction experiments in the villages of all parts of China.Some of them were the same as the "practice in different places" in the period of the Republic of China,and people outside the rural society spontaneously entered the countryside to participate in the construction.This group of people often from their own professional knowledge background,from different angles to carry out rural construction ideas and planning.This paper started from the phenomenon that the current non-governmental forces,especially the intellectual groups,actively participated in the rural construction,explored the background of the phenomenon,and traced back to the rural construction and national salvation movement of Chinese intellectuals in the period of the Republic of China.We found that the two not only have similar backgrounds.For example,rural areas were being affected by modernization and cannot cope.They needed to find a new way to explore a path suitable for rural development through experiments.The general manager couldn't avoid communication problems between foreign intellectuals who want to "rescue" the village and the local government and villagers.In view of the difficult problems that have not been solved for more than 100 years,how the rural construction workers now deal with them in practice is worth studying and discussing.Therefore,the author focused on the actual cases of the participation of foreign intellectuals in the construction of Bishan Village,combined with their own profession-communication,using literature data method,case analysis method,participatory observation method and in-depth interview method,to explore the current situation of communication between the foreign intellectuals entering Bishan village and the local government and villagers.This article used the key events in the rural construction of Bishan Village to present the communication and interaction process between the foreign intellectuals and the local original rural construction main actors,the local government and the villagers.It is found that there are obvious ideological differences between the foreign intellectuals and the rural villagers,which is easy to cause the communication block between them due to the lack of common meaning space and improper communication mode.The local government is the gatekeeper for the foreign intellectuals to participate in the local rural construction network.The entry of the intellectuals shows that there is little ideological difference between them and the local government,even there is some same meaning space,and the two can produce better results in the initial communication.With the continuous activities of foreign intellectuals in rural construction,as well as consciously and spontaneously changing communication strategies,such as enhancing "interaction","dialogue" and consultation,"consultation" and co construction,behavior demonstration,etc.,the communication between them and the villagers has been eased,even in the process of mutual influence,it has condensed into a force,promoting the development of many aspects of the countryside.And depending on the achievements of development,the local government pays attention to the village,so as to help the village obtain more development resources.Then,the author from this case analysis triggered the thinking of the communication methods of the foreign intellectuals participating in the rural construction,and put forward the following communication strategies and suggestions: "break through the weak relationship communication barriers,integrate into the rural internal context","clarify the role of their own facilitators,avoid role dislocation","enrich their communication skills,and maintain a good relationship with the villagers",and On the basis of this,the paper further put forward the ideal communication model for the foreign intellectuals to participate in the rural construction,namely the "collaborative communication model".With the help of the analysis and thinking of this case,the author hoped to provide some reference for the practice of rural construction in the future,and through the discussion of this issue,the community will pay more attention to rural construction.
